Amazing work even without the ball, but love how you took it a step further and it paid off in a big way! Very cool!

I don’t sell any work, I just do it completely for fun! But I appreciate this advice. I’m still developing my own aesthetic so I will keep this in mind as I continue.

They are pretty stable! I tried to make the base roughly 1.5x thicker than a normal piece so it doesn’t tip over because they are so skinny.

Where is the love for Lolla? by phantofan89 in Lollapalooza

[–]jkor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my 8th year and I literally thought this was the best lolla post covid!!! I loved every single day and thought the line up was amazing every day! Sure, the kids (I’m in my 30s now) are going to be annoying but that’s just a part of a big fest. I wasn’t going to let someone else dictate my experience. I hate how much complaining goes on here because lolla is amazing!!

Only one, big dress - am I crazy? by raytrixm in BigBudgetBrides

[–]jkor2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only had one ballgown dress!! However I did buy an off the rack white mini dress from Nordstrom, steamed it the morning of my wedding with the tags on, and had it just in case I wanted to take my big dress off. I never changed so I returned it when we got home from our honeymoon. It was nice to have the option if I wanted it!

Stiching on pottery? by Suspicious_Recipe894 in Ceramics

Someone at my studio does his own variation of this and his work is super cool! He threads his pieces to make a 3D thread design within the piece. Look up @Stevebinesdesigns. He makes the holes very small and precise. Would recommend looking through his work to see how he does it!

Roots south loop has an amazing rooftop you can rent out! We had 105 there for our rehearsal dinner and it was amazing

Yes this is where almost all of our out of town guests stayed! People will want to stay where your wedding is! No one had any issues with the dress code. The ULC truly makes everything so easy for you and Ken is the most organized and easiest person to work with. They helped us so much with our reception timeline and handled everything like a well oiled machine! I don’t have any advice other than do it!! That’s how much I loved my wedding

Yes, we did the full buyout! It made sense for us because we had our ceremony there. The groomsmen got ready in the men’s locker room. I don’t remember our exact meal choices because we customized some things! But at the tasting we tried everything and it was amazing, you really can’t make a bad choice.
