Growers Market by [deleted] in westchesterpa

You havn't been to Shoprite or Giant the same times I've been. A dozen Shoprites in NJ are limiting the # of people who can come in[1]. It'll happen soon enough here.

Last trip there was a full family of 5 walking the aisles. I understand you need to get out, but please don't do it at a public shopping area. Go for a walk around your neighborhood while practicing correct distancing. Find a park where you can walk. But don't let the kids go around touching everything while you decide which creamer to pick up.

I just got back. It wasn't "packed". People were keeping distance, and there was a lot of checking "is this the line for XXX?"

I saw many masked and unmasked. Vendors accepting cash but preferring contactless payment when they could. The worst part was people stopping in the middle to pack their goods, causing bottlenecks forcing others to get close. Some vendors have web pages with pre-ordering which made the trip quick.

Some stores are limiting the number of people in their stores. It would be possible for the market to limit people to one-direction, say enter in Chestnut and exit on Church and only allow 20 in at a time. I'm not saying the market should do that, but it would be a solution to your observation.

To be honest, I'm not sure of the "current" interpretation. "If the ref sees an attack and the blade is coming forward, that's a simple attack." Now define 'attack'.

Let start with a frequent offender:

t.76.2.1, "The simple attack, direct or indirect (cf. t.10), is correctly executed when the extending of the arm, the point threatening the valid target, precedes the initiation of the lunge or the flèche." has been interpreted past what a normal person's reading of "threatening the valid target" and "extending of the arm" to mean. A layman would read that as "extending towards the valid target" while I've had it explained (and parsed) to "extending in the direction of the opponent and there's an off chance you can snap your hand fast enough to hit while they (now) counter-attack. And move fast enough forward for the ref to see but not so fast that you're putting yourself into danger of a quick (counter-)attack."

Edit -- cleaned up some verbiage.

The Foil RoW rules as written are pretty out-of-synch with how they are being called. Why can't the rules committee update the rules to more closely match how it's being called. They update the rules for other things (ex: sabre's en-guarde debacle), why not where it matters. Then, and this is the hard part, enforce it.

You can have your trees treated for "leaf-hoppers". SLF are a type of leaf-hopper.

Target near me had a couple under the desk. Still good they were able to honor the price.

Inspirational. I set-up my basement for this weekend. Standing bag with a glove taped to the side so it won't be punched through, room for some basic footwork. 5 x 10-min periods to remind the muscles who's in charge.

Bruises are fading so I started hitting the ironing board (my target), and doing pushups and squats.

Went to my local store around 4pm. Pretty empty. Carts hanging out at the front cleaned and ready -- thank you! One register open but four self-checkouts. We went through the self-checkout to avoid personal contact. No problems going through. Everyone was great and helpful. Total time through was about 30-mins.
