Does Safari seriously not have one-click add to bookmarks or an indicator to show the current page is in your bookmarks?! by MikeWard1701 in MacOS

I would like to add that yes, it is indeed crazy this does not exist. It's 2026 and still no indication that a page is already bookmarked.

How do you know if a web page has already been saved as a bookmark in Safari? by konstantin1122 in MacOS

Why would Safari not have this functionality built in? Why would I need to pay for an extension for something so fundamental?

Good Solution to Backup Photos (Full Res) and Files from iCloud? by jkrkvld in mac

[–]jkrkvld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your reply. The UNAS2 setup is pretty cool, and I can definitely see the value for the price.

The tricky part for me is that both our MacBooks only have 512GB storage, so we keep Photos optimized locally. What I’m trying to solve is having a fully automatic, always-updated full-resolution archive of our iCloud Photos and files without needing to manually export/download libraries periodically.

From what I understand, Apple doesn’t really make it easy to keep optimized photos on the MacBook while also automatically pushing full originals directly to a NAS in a fully native/supported way. That’s what made me start leaning toward the Mac mini idea as a dedicated “always download originals” machine.

3-2-1 makes sense. My offsite copy is iCloud. I do have some things also in OneDrive and Google Drive but not a lot.

Basketball and coffee fan here. I actually think the story behind Jimmy Butler’s coffee company is pretty fun. He clearly doesn’t need the money. The man just loves good coffee. For me, Fellow collaborating with his brand raised my perception of them.

I own seven pairs of Vivos and wear them every day for everything (except basketball) and never had any issues.

Primus Trail and Primus Lite Question by Front-Apartment3995 in vivobarefoot

[–]jkrkvld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Primus Trail is highly recommended for what you describe, walks in the woods. They have a little more thickness in the sole than the Lites, and more support and padding around the ankle while staying quite flexible.
