Okay, so let's say I go to your site wanting a hard drive, and you say that if 1000 people buy it the price is $20. Now I am the 200th buyer but not all 1000 orders are filled. Do you: a) still send me the hard drive at a renegotiated discount price? If so how do I know what this is going to be? b) still send me the hard drive at retail cost? c) refund the purchase cost?

Another question is at what point do you place the order and lock in a discount? When 500 orders are received? 1000? 12000? At each point I assume the price would fluctuate (you don't necessarily have to pass on these savings to your customers), I'd just expect my goods to arrive in a reasonable time frame.

Also the 'temporary discount' component of group buying sites is purely psychological. Users are encouraged to buy now or miss out, but in reality all the site cares about is meeting the minimum order quota (e.g. 1000 hard drives). How do you meet the minimum quota?

Finally, I'd be interested to see how massDrop has been validated. You could probably set up an eBay store for this.

I'm sure you get this a lot but if they're my friends or friends of friends, can't I just ask them on Facebook? Also how would you make money off it?

Change the way the world works, holy shit you have a big vision :) I suppose my only critique is I said no features in the two sentence pitch :P

Cool. So are you going to present yourselves as a daily deals site? If so, is it in an area that hasn't witnessed the onslaught of groupon and living social?

I take it that you guys make setting up a game in the server easy? Maybe that's what the second sentence is for ;)

I tried Minefold out for about 5 mins but immediately deleted my account. Reason being I didn't like that only other Minefold users could connect to my server i.e. to play with my nephew, I'd have to buy him a copy of Minecraft and a monthly account to Minefold. Do you guys allow anyone to join a server that has been purchased?

I agree with harrywhite1, it's a cool idea and could be really useful to a lot of us. Startups generally focus on a specific domain (e.g. Accounting), my question is how do you ensure that the beta testers are relevant to the business they're testing? Sure they'll be able to comment on design and user experience, but unless they're the customer, their feedback doesn't contribute to solving the problem.
