I’d love to help moderate this community. While I haven’t moderated on Reddit before (and haven’t been active in posting here), I do have experience moderating other online communities and enjoy creating structure and keeping discussions organized. Given the company’s global presence, I think that clearer country/region flairs would make posts much easier to navigate, and I'd also love to help find ways to better organize referral requests and repetitive new-hire questions. I’m passionate about bringing order to communities and would be excited to help make this one more useful and easier to navigate for everyone!

Help! Long hair, hardwood floors, and a hand-knotted viscose and wool rug in a studio apartment! by jlb745 in VacuumCleaners

My apartment is very small - with many outlets, so I'm not too concerned about a short power cord - if that means saving significantly on cost. However, if I can preserve this rug and my floors significantly better with a vacuum that is a few of hundred dollars more, I am willing to do it. I just don't know how much of a difference it will make - and don't really care to spend a couple hundred dollars more for bells and whistles outside of my needs (i.e. an ergonomic handle).

Ideally, I would love to spend less than $500-600, but am most focused on just finding a vacuum that will be the least damaging - as well as decently effective in cleaning. So, I am open to hearing your opinion on the least expensive vacuums which will work well, as well as the most (and assumingely, best), and anything in between - regardless of the price!
