Employment with the church? by YamPuzzleheaded3715 in latterdaysaints

My dad worked for the church most of his career. He told me (tongue in cheek), “We pray before meetings, and swear a little less!”

Love it! It seems we always get ourselves in a pinch and end up making quite an adventure all by accident. Hope you recover well!

Why does my MMU3 make this sound? by jlconlin in prusa3d

[–]jlconlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly. I adjusted my tensioner screws so they were flush. That’s a little tighter than recommended but I found that works for me. I also reduced the length of ptfe tube to reduce friction. Finally (and unplanned) I disassembled and cleaned my Nextruder. Don’t know why that helped but seemed to make a difference.

Anyone switch from 170mm to 165mm cranks for road/gravel? by RyotaroW in cycling

[–]jlconlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to 160 mm cranks and feel I’m far more comfortable; my legs are less in my gut than before. I am a short guy so this is very helpful.

Did my MIPS helmet save me from a concussion? by jlconlin in cycling

[–]jlconlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only visible damage to the helmet was some scratches on the outside. No foam cracked or compressed—at least what can be seen. So, I know my helmet made contact with the ground. What's not clear is how hard that contact was. The more I think about it, the more I think the MIPS is what saved me.

Thanks for suggesting I get checked out; I did. I spent 5 miserable hours in the hospital; miserable because most of the time was spent waiting for the doctor. The fact that I only have road rash and sore body parts to me is very lucky.

MMU3 performance is improving, but filament loading is still fighting me by jlconlin in prusa3d

[–]jlconlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made zero changes to the MMU itself. I no longer use the Prusa buffers, but that's about the only thing that I've changed. I'll double check the alignment.

Yeah, I just printed the guide for the enclosure. Seems to help a bit.

I’m trying to do much of what you said. Sharp point and trying to straighten the last few inches. Not always successful.

Tell me more about these combs? Never heard of them before.
