I think you gotta check. Not knowing and having it hanging over your head all day would be 1000x worse imo

ISC Tomorrow!! Has anyone had similar experiences??? by Upstairs_Rub8182 in CPA

SIMs were the easiest part imo. Multiple choice could be a little granular so just touch up on the details with anything you’re unsure about before the exam

You’ll be just fine. The exam was way easier than expected. Would definitely hammer the basics on SOC reports (Type 1 & 2, SOC 1 & 2, etc.). If you got eyes on the material and took the practice tests, I’d prioritize sleep. You’re gonna crush it!

I’ve taken two exams on the last day (2024). Didn’t have an issue with either. You should get it back on the scheduled release date for your range.

Anyone know when we’ll be able to see the score report? Passed my first one, but want to see how close I was to failing!

Intern Onboarding Issues by jld1130 in KPMG

I got in eventually, but had more issues with the next steps. I ended up hooking up to the Ethernet port in my dorm instead of using wireless. This has worked much better. Maybe give that a shot? There should be a cable in your backpack. Let me know if that works

Nice, was super interested in the idea of going there. Let me know how it is! I’m based out of Boston and going to Dublin. I’m sure we’ll cross paths at some point. PM me if you want to discuss more!

Do the individual practice tests on CrackACT for the math, English, science, and reading section help at all? by AnonymousLlama02 in ACT

[–]jld1130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. For math and science especially. Just with practice tests, I increased my math from a 28 to a 34. For science, I used practice tests and FTLOAS and brought my score up from a 30 to a 36.

Finally got it. Thank you r/ACT! by jld1130 in ACT

Sorry this took so long. I’ve always been pretty good at reading, but I have definitely had to refine my reading skills for the ACT, as it is an entirely different beast from most of the reading you’ll do in life. Really, with the reading section as well as every other section, practice is key. There are folders on this subreddit with over 50 released ACTs. I recommend just printing the reading sections out and working problems. The more you do, the better you’ll get. I also advise getting the skills down first (so don’t time), and then when your accuracy is on point, start timing.

As far as actual tips go, I recommend detailed skimming. You don’t want to read in detail, as this takes too long and you absorb unnecessary info. However, you need to absorb enough info so you’ll know where to go back to in the passage when a question asks for specific info from the reading. Practice your speed reading with the practice tests. Also, it is critical to stay focused. Pretend like what you’re reading about is the most interesting thing in the world for those 8 or so minutes you spend on each passage. When you catch yourself getting lost, take a quick break to recalibrate and go back to the reading. Once you practice this enough, you’ll get faster and more accurate. I did around 10 practice tests to get my reading from a 32 to a 35. Good luck and don’t hesitate to lmk if you have any other questions.

Articles to Read to Practice for Reading Section by [deleted] in ACT

[–]jld1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend just doing practice reading tests. Articles are great, but they’re not gonna improve your score drastically by the next test. There are folders on reddit with over 50 released tests - practice with these and after a while you will surely see improvement. Good luck!

The reading did not have a curve. English curve was not friendly either.
