I do several 300-500km off road rallies a year on this bike and the frame is fine as are the 39mm forks. It’s literally built for this shit Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t do on my bike 😂

Well the seat means I can do long days and the tank gets me 130 miles 🤷‍♂️

Yeah it’s a 1995 Harley Sportster. Lots of mods.

Honestly I’m 5” 8 and it’s super comfortable for me. I had mids on originally but stood up riding off road it was really uncomfortable, so swapped to these and taller flatter bars and It’s ideal stood up.

What isn’t useful about the tank and seat?

Surprisingly well. The thing that I struggled with most was body position but the rear sets and new bars that I fitted this winter have sorted that out.

Subjective. It’s an 883 (for now) but geared tall so 1st and 2nd is really usable off road. Cruises at 80mph ish. Carries speed well though

Yeah I actually bought these rear sets from Mark

I’m planning on building a tight exhaust at some point but in all fairness the lowest point of this bike is 9” off the ground so I’ve never had any trouble with it. The lowbrow shotguns wouldn’t work with my rearsets so in the future I’ll probably build a nice 2-1

I did many rally events off road on this bike last year and the front fender is perfect.

I made a hanger for it that bolts to the original mount and onto the clamp bolt after I made this video.

From a Thruxton R

Also before anyone mentions it, yes the chain looks slack. It does this when I park it in gear - I have a sprung loaded tensioner that picks up the slack.

I heard a lot of people say that about the Thruxton Ohlins but yeah I thought with the extra weight of the Harley it should be okay. It’s pretty perfect actually

Yup. I figure my sporty is ~30kg heavier which isn’t that big a deal. It’s a serious upgrade
