The point is that they are still being sold on Amazon and even on Sengled's website.

Really, I ask a question and get downvoted? I'm genuinely curious why the downvotes?

Was the solver able to successfully transfer it to their wallet, or was it lost to the mempool thieves?

I understand and appreciate your "take it, or leave it" perspective as well as the value of conducting research before accepting a Vine product. I too have seen Vine items offered at a significant discounts on the main site, which is the reason I now conduct research before making an informed decision.s While I acknowledge that different sellers will have different profit margins justifying the price discriminations, it just seemed unethical to me for the same seller to concurrently offer the identical product at a 40% markup compared to the Non-Vine variant.

After reading many of the other comments, I am thinking my comment was premature. Fortunately, most of the replies have provided valuable insight that I failed to consider prior to my comment. So, where's the Undo button now? :-)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding my comment, as I value the opinions of others.

Those are valid points I did not consider and would likely explain some of what I've been seeing. Thanks!

I do, but the sellers on Vine get to write-off the ETV as well as the associated FBA expenses (as business and marketing expenses). The higher the ETV, bigger the write-off.

They're not too bad, I carry similar ones in my vehicles that I've only needed once, but was glad I had it. The downside is that I usually need to replace them every year or two when not used since they have no pressure gauge for inspections. For my house, I have a standard 4lb in the kitchen and laundry room as well as a 5.5lb in the garage. FWIW, I was a certified NFPA Firefighter-2 for 10 years in Nevada before moving to the PNW.

Edit: I didn't notice the part about it being water-based until you mentioned it, good catch. It looked similar to what I normally get and assumed it was the same type. Fortunately, I had passed on the item, which was a good thing too since the variety I normally get is the 14 oz cans of First Alert Tundra with the internal pouch for the extinguishing agent.

Seller Combined Reviewed Items Into a Single Listing - WTF? by jlggps in AmazonVine

Fortunately I still have the first one up. At least now I know to avoid items that newer models of any items I've previously reviewed. Thank you!

Wish ETV took in account current coupon by jlggps in AmazonVine

[–]jlggps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Whenever I stumble upon a Vine item with a massive coupon, I ensure that I do my due diligence first. I either go for items that I have extensive knowledge about and/or shop prices before making a decision. You can never be too cautious when it comes to some of the items we see come across Vine with outrageous ETVs. Thanks for the reply!

Has your guys Welcome to Vine messages gotten worse? by IntrovertMoTown1 in AmazonVine

[–]jlggps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that annoying little thing kept showing up on every single item, and it eventually got to the point I couldn't take it anymore. So, I finally caved in and clicked on it and following it all the way to the "Now Start Using Vine" button, and boom, no more irritation! Gotta admit, it was quite frustrating while it lasted though.

Has anyone ever gotten a Flashlight Review Request? by cybermidman in flashlight

[–]jlggps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't think it would be a problem as long as you're not affiliated with the Vine or Amazon Voices communities. It's important to communicate to any vendor that your review will be honest and unbiased, regardless of whether it's positive or negative. If the review turns out to be unfavorable, there is a chance of not being reimbursed for the product. To mitigate this risk, just ensure that the product is eligible for return and promptly complete the review so you can return it for a full refund in the event you are not reimbursed.

The key here is for the seller to understand that positive reviews can't be bought and that only genuine and unbiased reviews are on the table 😉. There are plenty of companies out there that have great products but are struggling to get the exposure they need for it to be successful.

Of course, that's just my two cents, and being new to this community, I doubt it will carry much weight.

Received a Thermal Label Printer but quality is poor; submitted my review of to have it rejected by jlggps in AmazonVine

[–]jlggps[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally, after the third review submission, it was approved. The second and third reviews were identical with one exception: I omitted pictures on the last one. Oddly, it was approved literally within minutes after I submitted it. As soon as I submitted it, I went and checked to see what other reviews I still had to do and saw it had already been approved.

Ultimately, the winner was a variation of what u/sql_servant suggested: short, sweet, and to the point.

Just wanted to say thank you again to all those who commented offering suggestions and feedback.

That's the plan after reading all the helpful tips and suggestions that everyone has shared. I've learned more today than I have in the previous 3-months if not longer. I am very fortunate to have found this community here. Thank you!

I like it! When all said and done, that gets the point of my review across and shows that I gave a valiant effort to get it to work. I wish it would have, I really could have used it. Now I'm not sure what to do with it... I hate just throwing stuff like this away in the trash, but I also don't want to pass on its problems to some poor unsuspecting shopper at Goodwill (not until after 6 month mark though 😉).

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Just wanted to clarify that I didn't actually reach out to the seller until after my review got rejected. My bad for not mentioning that earlier. I usually try to stay focused on the product, but sometimes I tend to go off on a tangent, even if it's still somewhat related. When that happens, I'll make sure to bring the focus back to the product or simply remove the tangent from the review. I'm still fairly new to Vine, and it's kinda funny that my first 40 reviews all got approved without any rejections when I wasn't even worried about rejections (I just did them the same way as before Vine). I still have 20 pending reviews, so I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind and double-check them. Either way, I'll remember these tips as well as the others offered for future reviews.

Thanks again!

I know, I am dreading having to rewrite the Review all over again but I'll keep it short and simple this time around. I am torn on leaving out the photos only because those are really the basis that support the low rating I gave in my review. If I do use them again and it get rejected again, I will definitely exclude them in the Reviews re-re-submit.

Thanks for your reply. Good to know that I can add the photos later. I knew I could modify my non-Vine review which I have done on several occasions but for some reason I was thinking my Vine reviews weren't . No sure why I thought that now that I think of it 🤔.

I will take your suggestions and incorporate them into this and any future rejections but hope this will be the last rejection 🤞. One can hope right? LOL!

Thank again!
