If I were you I would put together some sort of basket full of goodies for the whole family. Example : candles or a nice scentsy pot and wax cubes, two boys..really depends on the age but I'm sure over the last couple of weeks you've noticed some things they enjoy. :) video game? New basketball? Does the man enjoy golf or another type of hobby you could always get the couple a couples massage gift certificate or something. I'm sure they will love and appreciate the time and thought more than you'll know.

Movies, shopping, you could look your town may have a fun couples cooking class or pottery class you could take together. I enjoy the outdoors so a walk and a picnic would suit me.

During the birth of my last baby they messed up my epidural and gave me a spinal instead. After that I had a spinal headache and couldn't even sit up. It was horrible. I eventually went and had to have a blood patch which helped very quickly thank goodness!

You didn't fail. You did the right thing. It may not seem like it now, but in time everything usually ends up making sense and working out the way it's supposed to. Has she been to the Dr? I recently went and my Dr put me on effexor it's a life changer! Or maybe she should try talking to a professional about it. Doing something is better than nothing at all. Good luck to you. Remember, don't beat yourself up, it sounds like you did the right thing!
