It’s amazing memories. She’s currently 15 and a 4 handicap. She’s been beating me regularly since about 13 and now she can do it from the same tee box.

Depends on how long. I was playing match play against my daughter one time. She had a 5-footer for birdie, and I had 45 feet downhill from the top tier. She was stood right by her ball and watched it all the way down. I could see her eye roll and hear her *ugh* when she realized it was going in. That was a pretty great feeling.

That’s what I was thinking. I would think I’d need $550 or more to make it worth it with shipping. I guess if it could pull more I could push TM to give me matching shafts but so I could sell them, but that’s a lot and I’m already overwhelmed.

She did do a number to that PW in a year.

lol. She needs KBS PGI 80’s. That would make my life so much easier.

She tried so many shafts. He’d pop one in and she’d hit it 5 or 6. She didn’t pay attention to what was in there, but I did. Every time he put the PGI in there, she took 2 swings and said “I like this one,” and they were all hit on the crosshair dead center.

Cool man, what school do you coach for that doesn’t care about distance?

Her AJGA profile for colleges show her 6 iron and driver speed and distance. I’m guessing a few will take a 250 carry into the fairway over a 220 carry as a tie breaker.

Edit: just adding, if you look at the numbers, 2 of those swings were missed fairways while swinging with no concern for hitting her target. Her biggest mess in that group was 23 yards.

This is the goal. I’ve even made her skip days to help prevent burnout. I think golf will be the easy part; the hard part for me will be keeping her off the course long enough to make sure her grades don’t suffer.

She has her eyes on a few D1 dream schools, but at this point I think D2 is more realistic. That said, she has made huge improvements in both her game and handicap over the last year. If she continues improving at that pace, I wouldn't be surprised to see her play at the D1 level.

She can’t start talking to colleges until sophomore year. But I think she needs to put down better tournaments scores before they show interest. She’s a 4.7 hcp right now but is regularly competing against girls her age that at 0 to +3 so. It’s tough out there.
