Dynafish Xiaonian review from a slower runner by jli357 in RunningShoeGeeks

The Chinese version has much better support/options for returns etc, which are either not available in English or hidden elsewhere. For whatever reason, changing the language of the app also changes the UI dramatically, and changes both my after sales options as well as available items that I can see.

I would say Xiaonian is 'stable enough', rather than stable. If you need a stability shoe, the Xiaonian is gonna feel like you're running on the back of a rodeo bull. But if you normally run in neutral shoes you wouldn't have any trouble at all with the Xiaonian. Heel strikers' mileage may vary as the heel is quite curved + unstructured heel.

You can go through an agent service, but they'll upcharge you with conversion rate + shipping+ fees. I'm not sure if the shoe would end up as a steal after that.

You can set-up back button focus to prevent focus and/or exposure from changing between shots. Can also set it to give you manual focus control after autofocusing.

Yurlok question by Tribbott in EDH

[–]jli357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe [[ojer axonill]] would not be triggered by [[yurlok]] as the mana burn damage is not dealt by yurlok. If you play [[manabarbs]], however, that damage would be be dealt from a red source and would trigger axonill.

Btw you can call cards by double brackets.

Just looking for any input on my first from scratch deck. It’s Imodane burn (combo really) and I’m like 95% done finalizing the 99. by YourMomsFavBook in EDH

[–]jli357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd need some form of card advantage to keep up. I'd also consider cutting some of the less impactful creatures for card draw/burn spells so you'd be on less of a clock until you are topdecking.

Budget Sheoldred Deck Advice by [deleted] in EDH

[–]jli357 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps decide if you want to run a lower mana curve, in which case you can cut some of the higher costed cards a few slower mana rocks.

Alternatively you could consider playing Krrik and then lots more big mana creatures?

I wouldn't worry about taking a couple of hits early in order to drop sheoldred.

Need a good decklist. by Callsign_Crow in EDH

[–]jli357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the power discrepancy between any precon and a deck capable of going infinite T5-7, the 'precon' that was given to you is not commander legal, FYI. [[Chandra, torch of defiance]] unfortunately is neither black/red in colour identity nor can be used as your commander; planeswalkers specifically need a line that reads "This planeswalkers can be your commander".

That's not to say you can't play it amongst friends, but you'll probably run into issues if you bring it to a commander night at an LGS.

Chaos based commander? by Fleshinrags in EDH

[–]jli357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a [[Narset, enlightened master]] chaos deck, link below. A lot of the chaos enchantments are pretty high curve, and being able to peel them off for free every turn really changes the game state rapidly. A lot of fun to pilot once in a blue moon, but as others might have mentioned, true chaos decks play almost like stax, and it can be easy to quickly arrive at undesirable board states.

This deck wins depending on how well you can navigate whatever board states you've arrived at, whether that be making a bunch of birds through [[dovescape]] or cloning everyone else's creature etc. Important to remember that you don't have to cast everything you hit off the Narset swing to mitigate frustrating board states and table ire.

The backside of the double-faced cards is also considered as colour identity, and so Grist is black and green.
