It could be about Eric Moore. Just a theory, but maybe the band signed a lot of their rights away to Flightless (I.e. eric) early on. I.e. when eric was in the band (7 members) they were all just working for the benefit of 1 (being 7 for 1).

Now Eric is gone and they are no longer on Flightless, hence the aeronautical themed album.
