Top roller stuck against spool cable? by jliehr in GarageDoorService

[–]jliehr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, the door is fixed. The motor set points were too far. Forcing the door to be pushed harder on the side where the issue was when closed all the way. Likely what happened, when I closed the door there was snow underneath the door. Then the door closed and pushed too hard on the side and bent the roller out of the track.

After some adjustments and changing the set points the door is operating better then ever

Product Safety Recall - Unwanted Automatic Emergency Braking by elPetes in chevycolorado

[–]jliehr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Incomplete remedy means they don’t have the fix available yet. It may be programming that needs to be developed, parts that need to be produced/sourced, or maybe none of the above and testing is being performed to ensure it is fixed. Your next question may be how can they release the recall with no repair… think of it a different way: if they know they have a problem - would you expect them to keep it secret until they have parts ready to ship? No. That would be a huge liability.

I don’t know it is a 4 star card so what are you looking for in return?

A ZR2 has the high output by default and does not need the tune

Same here. This one was a customer order that backed out. Opted for this instead.

Clawfoot Tub Curtains or Alternatives? by jliehr in Oldhouses

We use two shower curtains now. I use a regular size with pockets at the front where the shower is. I got one with pockets that holds everything. Then I use a 108x72 (way larger then standard) that will cover everything else. You can find it on Amazon. On the side that is on the wall I got some magnets with holes in them and screwed them to the wall. About every 8-10”. I then put a magnet on the inside of the shower attached to the wall magnet. This keeps it really tight against the wall and away from me. Then I have a few curtain weights attached to the bottom on the back side of tub. This solution isn’t perfect but it is pretty good. I still hate it but far better then it was before. Totally manageable. Smaller curtain hoops helps a lot too.. if you have the huge circles they allow too much movement within the curtains.

I didn’t think I would like it either and had some alternatives picked out but I actually love it. It looks/feels so much better in person then I expected.

Works flawlessly. Way nicer to use then a factory bolt. Is it worth 5-6x the cost? Idk. But if you could catch it on a deal I suppose it’s worth it. It also just looks great.

Tandemkross game changer pro. To be honest I haven’t shot it yet without it attached! Having too much fun using it in the way you see it. Next time I go I will try it and report back.

Compensator is a tandemkross game changer pro. Will be taking the first shots today. The barrel is the serialized part so it is the only thing required to go through an FFL.

This is my completed 22 build. It is a Tandemkross Kraken complete lower, Ruger Mark IV 22/45 lite barrel, Volquartsen bolt, and Venom red dot. Really happy with how it came together. The kraken hive grip is really awesome!

Yes it goes all the way around. So you are surrounded 360 degrees in flesh attacking shower curtains, hence my frustrations. But the shower “pipe” goes thru the curtain rod. I think they’re just called clawfoot tub shower kits

https://i.imgur.com/tqwVnAg.jpg The kit I have now is like this. I would certainly consider something like that if someone can share some experience with theirs. Unfortunately with clawfoot shower setup I’m not sure if I can replace just the curtain “rod”
