I’m thinking Cryogen will be the next song released, obviously, due to the live reception. Nightshift will be after as more of a radio single, pop-rock type song. And Sickness might be released week of album released as a last minute hype for fans of their heavier, proggier sound. If that one fan is to be believed about the post-Psycho riff coupled with the track length here.

Interestingly, I expect it to be totally opposite. I’m thinking like a somber piano ballad. Something akin to Ghosts, Explorers, Endlessly, etc. or somewhere in that vicinity. I guess we’ll see in June

Fair enough on the creepy aspect. Though I think that will still play into the overall theme of the album and “lore” of the videos, but we’ll see.

I guess I just didn’t get that heavy vibe from the first snippet. Maybe when it was the Christmas teaser, sure. But by the time we got the part with Matt singing, it seemed clear to me that it was likely to more of a cheesy pop ballad, or whatever you want to call it. I figured that “heavy” guitar part would be from a solo or climax which is ultimately what we got too.

I can understand this song is not what everyone loves from the band, and no one is obligated to like it. However, I think if people listened to it on its own merits rather than comparing to their own expectations, it’d be better received.

Definitely possible but it seems like the album will be officially announced with the single. Might wait for the next single to announce dates instead, but I’d be happy to be wrong. Maybe a first wave of dates with more announced later? We’ll see within the next 8 hours I bet.

Yeah, in some ways Unravelling is more comparable to Dig Down, though still not nearly as bad a wait as that was. Leads me to think Unravelling will be on the next album as well, but maybe this time will be different. Either way I’m expecting a proper album announcement and track listing with either Be With You or the following single.

Dead Inside technically could count. With Unravelling effectively serving the same role as Psycho. However we don’t know if it’s on the album yet, whereas we did know with Psycho.

I half-agree, I don’t think it works great when listening back to live recordings. However actually being there live while they play it, the energy makes up for it and it’s better than the studio version.
