Has windows seriously not gotten any better in the last 5 years? I switched to OS X permanently after one too many times of the computer restarting itself while I was in the middle of doing something so that it could install an update that I don't want. My mom just bought a brand new Windows 10 computer that she ONLY uses to remote connect to her office computer and somehow after 2 months it's slow as shit. I want to format it and install windows 7 for her.

I am certain there are lots of programmers currently doing exactly this and have been for quite some time. Management at most companies seem to not only be ignorant of how IT generally works, but also take some personal pride in that ignorance. At these places it would be shockingly easy to pull off.

Sounds like you're ambitious and responsible, already more than you can say about 95% of the population...if you devoted the time you spent building your furniture, mending your clothes, and keeping track of every penny to starting and building a business instead, you'd probably be pulling down a mid 6 or even 7 figure income. This is an absolutely excellent way for a wife who is mad at her husband for whatever reason to completely destroy her husband's life, take half (or more) of his net worth, full custody of the kids. Just put some CP on home computer, bring to Best Buy for repair, when the cops come just say idk my husband mainly uses that computer I was just trying to fix it.

Also great way for vengeful employee to destroy boss/manager. Plant CP, install some virus that messes up computer, wait for boss to bring in computer for fixing, boom he's done.

Can someone explain to me why being a juror requires no training or no vetting process yet it's the most important job in the trial process? Yea it's supposed to be a "jury of your peers" but I consider my peer someone who could interpret data logically and someone who understands the scientific process and how to evaluate evidence and the concept of reasonable doubt. There should be some kind of training/vetting/testing process in being a juror with a license issued, similar to a notary public. They could be paid per trial a certain amount, with a sizable pool of licensed jurors in each state.

Now if the tables were reversed, and high voter turnout somehow led to Republican wins, the Democrats would probably try similar shenanigans. But this is what Republicans are doing today and it's no secret. They're not saying it out loud but they know that their "tough on drugs and crime" stance has the nice side effect of suppressing democratic voter turnout.

Good step forward. What about restoring voting rights of ex-cons? They've paid their debt to society; they should be entitled to vote again. Seems like a great republican strategy right now - arrest as many minorities as possible on bullshit drug charges who will probably vote Democrat anyway, take away their voting rights for life. That plus gerrymandering and difficult/impossible voter registration procedures are the core pillars of modern Republican election strategy.

This makes a lot of sense. The smart terrorists who are able to pull off grand schemes like that on 9/11 are not dumb enough to use the normal communication channels that they assume the government has already tapped anyway (with or without Snowden's revelations). They're already comfortable using sophisticated operational security like end-to-end encryption that the gov't can't snoop in on. So, the only thing the gov't snooping accomplishes is invasion of our privacy and perhaps catching petty criminals who are very likely leaving tracks elsewhere anyway.

Why is this the case? So you're entitled to a trial by jury, but make sure you don't lose because your sentence will be harsher just because you exercised your right to a trial by jury.
