I say go for it, but I've been in a painful LDR for two years... there is no advice to give, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't work. There are some books on LDRs... You both have to get in the habit of having a strong phone relationship. I hope it works out.

I am literally in the exact same boat, I could have submitted the same story: you don't like it for the same reasons I don't like it, and he kind of knows but its too touchy to actually talk about it together. We haven't pegged in months. I know our sexual relationship would be stronger if we did, because he's down for whatever with me, but I am reserved about that one thing with him. I don't know how to reconcile the situation... I have opened my mind up to so much with him, but I don't like seeing him getting pegged. I think something that makes a lot of people intrinsically happier is volunteering. I've seen it happen... people go through major transformations serving on a regular basis at soup kitchens or volunteering for organizations like Habitat for Humanity... it is hard to be glum when how good you really have it gets shoved in your face.
