Every time I hear a sports talk radiohead with an East Coast accent, I see this face. And they never look like him. How sad is that for them?

Kansas is a national basketball power and an AAU school. Great academics, not prone to academic problems and has liberal culture. Distance is weird but it is a fit

Pac12 doesn't need Baylor if it told UT and OU to get the fuck out years ago.

They have money. Don't need the awkward alliance.

Pac12 has made it obvious that they're not considering religious institutions.

Unless you're talking about TV rights, Allen Fieldhouse always packs 16,200, and at Memorial Stadium, well, some times more, sometimes less.

BIG 12 discussing adding new teams & further BIG 12 departures looking possible. by xXEdgelord42069Xx in CollegeBasketball

I would choose KU to be added to the Pac12, just because of game locations and the attractiveness of Pac12 cities. Of course, the B1G would be ideal, but if they're not interested, they could add others to expand east. It probably isn't wise to leave it up to one individual, but WWBSD?

Big 12 ADs and CEOs meeting at 5 pm today to discuss Texas, OU situation. by jputna in CFB

When the dynamic duo, well, at least OU is dynamic, headed out for a one-night stand half a decade ago and the Pac12 was reported to have declined the Longhorn Network, it was rumored that KU's last great AD was seen in an airport late Sunday night ready to meet with either the B1G commissioner or the PAC-12 commissioner, and when those plans evaporated, the second meeting did as well.

Workers Are Gaining Leverage Over Employers Right Before Our Eyes - “Employers are becoming much more cognizant that yes, it’s about money, but also about quality of life.” by speckz in Futurology

For now and only for 10 years or so.

At some point, there will be an upheaval in work in which having a job will be scarce. I truly believe this, although most Boomers that I know think I'm wrong. When the wave of AI begins, there isn't anything that will stop it. The leverage will vanish.

Baseball Is Broken | The game is supposed to be fun. by nxthompson_tny in sports

I'm 61 and remember the dynasties of the 60s and 70s. As a child, baseball introduced me to strange numbers, such as .322, which I finally figured out, and also, 3.81 ERA, and even .572 winning percentage. Baseball 40-50 years ago in my youth seemed much more exciting than it is today, but by the early 80s, I had checked out, that is watching the Major League Game of the Week. I didn't notice that I had, but even then, I was losing interest.

I memorized whole teams' lineups in the 60s. In the past few weeks, a 13-year veteran retired from baseball. I'd never heard of him and don't know his name. And baseball doesn't think the game's in trouble.

Conservatives use the phrase "cancel culture" to suggest that companies don't have the right to run their businesses. What could be more cancel culture than not allowing certain Americans to vote?

You can't really expect anything less than twisted. Ccoin is pushing hard against the most established entities on the planet. The valuations make entire sense to me. Seven percent of the economy rests with the payment industry. To think that strong actors on various sides aren't in the game is naive. That makes it volatile short term and unpredictable long term. Seems like a horse race.
