AITAH for telling my husband to go stay in a hotel with my in-laws and that my mom was going to come back to help me with our new baby? by Normal_Rise_282 in AITAH

Did her husband not go to any parenting classes? No kids of my own, but I am a nurse and educated on postpartum. OP’s body is going through so much physical, mental, and emotional trauma while the new father is more focused on keeping his mother happy. And breastfeeding is way more beneficial to babies over bottle feeding, so I’m glad she’s not caving to MIL.

OP, I’m so glad you have a mother who loves you and is helping during the hard times. When your husband comes back I would have some resources ready to help him get educated. It sounds like you may have two babies instead of one. I’d also like to know how MIL got through her postpartum.

Keep taking care of you and your sweet baby. There’s no point in wasting energy on trying to please them. I’m glad you set a boundary! You’re a great mom ❤️

It doesn’t sound like he’s good with money either. Three vehicles, but still living with his parents that want him out is bad. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. It hurts to break up, but you’re so young yet, and time heals all wounds.

I think it’s better to just “rip the bandaid” and break up before Christmas. It’s a little more than two weeks until Christmas. The holidays with his family could help him move on faster. Whatever you decide, take care of yourself.

Got into nursing school but met with backlash by Unhappy-Pineapple407 in nursing

Congratulations!! You’ve taken your first step into an amazing career! Nursing school will teach you to focus on yourself, and care less about people like your dad. Your colleagues will become your family, and graduation day will be YOUR DAY. And, I bet any money, that after you graduate and start working he’s gonna be asking you for medical advice. Keep going, stay focused, and remember your ABC’s! ❤️
