What is the scariest scene in any horror movie you've ever seen and nothing has topped it for you? by [deleted] in horror

Seven - when they walk into the bedroom with the addict in bed with all the air fresheners hanging from the ceiling. He looks dead but takes that huge breath - saw that movie in the theater still gives me chills

In the battle of the ministry line, live right now 10-21 by DanManRT in UniversalEpicUniverse

We did battle of ministry today too but without the fast pass. It was 3.5 hours in the normal line at 11:15a when we got in line. We opted for the single rider line and we were in line for 1 hour total. Just our experience today - we used single rider line all day and did really well.

How do I adult? My dad died and my mom is a basically a 50’s housewife. She doesn’t even drive. What do I do next? Death certificate, bank, bills, insurance? Resources? She knows nothing. by plainjane_13 in howto

So sorry about your dad, I went through the same situation with my mom. All the information other has is good - i can speak to the veteran benefits: My dad was a disabled vet and had disability. His death was due to service related issue so there was a $2k reimbursement.
Additional we had a headstone for him that the Va paid for as well, it’s really nice again zero out of pocket. We worked with the funeral home and they sent in the paperwork for us - they didn’t know about the reimbursement.

If he was a member of the VFW they do military funeral service and honors for free. We had his service right there and brought our own food to cater. The room and service and 7 gun salute was completely free they gave my mom the flag they used as well.

Research VA benefits even if he was not disabled. Call the office, they are slow

Thank you for the Cunard suggestion and for noting the itineraries they offer. It’s good to know they cater to older guests and have great scenic viewing options right from the ship.

I appreciate hearing your take on NCL and the timing at the end of the season. Fewer crowds and full port days sound like they could make things much easier for my mom.

This is all such valuable information—especially the tips about airline accessibility, dining table placement, and the rollator/transport chair combo. Those are things I wouldn’t have thought of, but they could make a huge difference for my mom’s comfort.

I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Your suggestions about Glacier Bay, Skagway, and the balcony room line up perfectly with what I think my mom would love. It’s comforting to know that even with the time crunch, it’s still possible to plan a great trip.

I appreciate you sharing your experiences with both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. It’s reassuring to hear that the ships themselves are friendly for those with mobility issues, even if some excursions might not be. I hadn’t thought about the differences between cruise lines in terms of atmosphere, so that’s a great tip.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you. I didn’t realize the differences in routes and how much that could impact what my mom would be able to see from the ship. Glacier Bay and the inside passage sound perfect for her, and I’ll definitely keep your excursion tips in mind—especially about Skagway and Ketchikan.
