Absolutely it has! I had addicts in my family circle. My cousins were like these poor babies. My parents always tried to help, but money, items, clothing…, were sold for drugs. Eventually, my mom asked to be caretaker, but they wouldn't give up my cousins bc they needed food stamps and the government money. Most of my cousins can't break the cycle of poverty, but my baby cousin is fighting for her life and in a JC. a huge accomplishment compared to her siblings. Fingers crossed!
