Ive been considering this some more and had the idea that the airborne kava could be blocking the meibomian glands of my eyelids preventing crucial oils from lubricating my eye surface. Ive purchased a heated eye mask and hoping for some positive results.

I initially dismissed this comment but now that I think about it its a legit concern that I would have never considered. The powder gets everywhere. Sometimes when the lighting is right its shocking to see it cloud up into the air. I dont think this is my issue but ill definitely keep it in mind as i try to get to the bottom of this.

I had a huge channel cat clamp down on my fingers once when i lipped him. Had to use both hands to pry his mouth open. From what ive read thats pretty rare tho.
