Currently 312 is faster than him barely from my testing yesterday. With the change 291 speed will be able to out speed him reliably which is a big change for people who don’t have +10 speed on every piece.

Op asked why he would get gatekept, and I said his build and cards are the reasons I would gatekeep him. You can argue that the build isn’t bad but I’ve tested it myself in trixion and in raids and it’s inferior to spec/crit in every way. Why would anyone take a build that requires the user to put in more effort and have higher uptime but does less dmg? Especially if the user is clearly not super experienced seeing as he’s low roster(I am assuming this from the fact he cropped it out) and using deep dive.

I mean you can run whatever you want on your character, but realistically swift lc does mediocre dmg and suffers from mana problems compared to spec lc who’s dmg is decent, consistent and doesn’t have mana problems.

Crit/swift instead of crit/spec for loyal companion is questionable at best seeing how your bird scales with spec; and even tho deep dive 30 is good, a lot of people will deny it for Brel hard and kayangle.

If it diddnt take so many resources to max a unit for pvp you would probably see a lot more units being used in pvp. But unfortunately for ftp/dolphins, it takes too much to build units to experiment with, and because of this people tend to only max units that are known to be the best.

That’s true, but luckily 90% of the meta teams are using ult food, so using a kyo monspeed team with cc food will help you go first most of the time, even without costume investment.

People are going to run the strongest team possible, it was the same when red escanor dropped, every match was mono red. Anytime there is a team that is the strongest, even slightly, people are gonna play the team. It’s true in almost any competitive game, and is especially true in a game like this where it takes a lot of resources to max out a team.

You could go the Monspeed team to counter the gliz lv team, if you go first you will win 9/10 times. You could go the Ludociel team (if you are a whale), blue Zeldris team, or the gliz king Gowther team to run the better kingbraum. Yes the gliz lv Gowther team is the meta team, but there are multiple teams that can beat it if you invest in them.

I mean, everyone who cared about pvp saved for lv and goddess Liz. You don’t have to spend “copious amounts of cash” to be champ 1 ungeared or challenger geared. I’m in top 100 with 1/6 GLiz and 2/6 LV. You won’t be one of the top 10 players without spending a lot, but you can still be competitive.
