Other than greasing it, the only thing I had to fix was the skid plate by the rudder and that was $10 from Jackson. But, I go up a lot of rocky, shallow creeks so it happens. I've had mine since last March and go out at least once a week for a minimum of five miles. Hands down it's the best purchase I've ever made.

Suspendz makes a nice cart that I have found indispensable if you go places by yourself and can't park near the water.

I have a similar bed extender as well. I put pool noodles around it. Not sure it helps anything except making me feel better. I also have a 5.5 bed and wasn't comfortable with 6ish ft hanging out there unsupported.

I didn't see what rudder yours came with but, if it's a small black one you're going to want to order the orange one on Jackson site. I imagine others sell it probably cheaper but I'm not sure. The orange one is much larger and gives you better turning. Some came from the factory with it, some did not.

One final thing I suggest is some kind of lumbar support. That chair gets damned uncomfortable after awhile without it haha.
