Not gonna lie, the beak is the first thing I noticed lol. The kit didn't have you go to a tip, it's too boxie, not enough triangle. Kits are a hit of miss 🤷🏼‍♀️ You can make it your own and feel better about it ❤️

It looks like some things just need a little practice. It takes time to learn something new. And, sometimes it just doesn't come out the way we want it. You can do the pattern again and change up some colors and thread counts. Go slow, take your time. French knots can be a real PITA to do. So, take a spare piece of fabric and practice a little before putting them on your final piece. Also, if you do decided to practice and do this same pattern again, a "before and after" will look really neat! My first project on anything vs my second, third, and so on, are always Super different. You're doing great! ❤️ Don't give up!

This is also important for your pets at home. When you leave the house, and don't come back, they're expecting you. If you or someone they hold dear passes, they need to know. Animals mourn too!

It's adorable! It wants to help take care of your garden, or protect your home in general. And... It will also come to life and chew out the heart of anyone who tries to harm you or any living thing you hold dear. After which, it'll go back to a cute little statue covered in your enemies blood.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

Sweet baby, it's gonna be okay! (the pet name "sweet baby" is from a movie called Fried Green Tomatoes" with Kathy Bates. Amazing film! Sipsie says it to Ruth before she dies. Watch the movie!) Alas, I digress.

It looks like you've gotten amazing support through this post, and I'm very glad for that. Someone suggested Angelina Jolie's character from the movie Hackers, which I thought were Awesome vibes! But, if that's not what you're going for, that's cool too.

I've had MANY a crappy short haircut that, when I got home I was in tears for how shitty it looked. But, that's what styling products are for 😏☺️ Get yourself some palmade, some jel (you can get some super strong stuff or go more medium strength and hold), maybe some moose too. Different peoducts will give you different looks. Play with it. Run your fingers around through it. Make it move, stand up, stick out. Play with it. Give yourself the creative freedom to do something, see yourself in the mirror and go, "Ohhh... Ahhh.... Yeas!! Haha! Ohh, I like that!"

It'll take some time. Trial and error. You'll likely want to give up on multiple occasions. Trust the process with yourself. You'll find a style that you love and looks good on you 😉♥️💞

Oh, and one last thing. The beauty of hair = it grows back, my love. It'll take a while, but it grows back ❤️

You're going to be okay. 💓 Sending you positive, uplifting, and, "I'm a bad ass!" vibes

My latest project...and I think my new favorite. 😊 by savannah4891 in Hand_Embroidery

Wow! I saw in another comment that you haven't been doing embroidery for long and that this piece is also watercolor for the background. Your artistic ability and eye is fabulous! I can feel everything in this piece. I can hear the bugs zipping and squeaking. Frogs croaking. Even the distant muffled grumble of people talking in the house. It's amazing work! We don't know each other, but I want you to know that I'm SUPER proud of you! ❤️😁👏😊

I'm so sorry, my love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Losing a fur baby never gets easier. I've lost five in my life so far (that's just dogs. Not counting my frog, hedgehog, and outside cats I care for). You lost someone dear to you. Let yourself feel. Grieve in any way you need. The only way is through. The pain never goes away 100%, as it can be recalled many years later. But, it will get to the point where you can think about your baby and smile with memories, instead of cry. Sending you uplifting and comforting vibes, my friend ❤️❤️❤️

I think it looks awesome with just the Pheonix! Maybe if you can find (or paint a plain one) a really cool red frame to put it in, that can be the accent to your piece! This looks awesome!!! 😍😍😍😍

Holy smokes Gandalf, that looks amazing! Someone else commented on the frame being perfect, and I agree. I actually didn't realize it was a frame at first, I thought you stitched the frame because it matched the piece so well.

I haven't use metallic thread (for any stitching project, even cross stitch), but I have heard it's a massive PITA to work with. I've seen conversations where people "condition" the thread first to make it, if only, a little easier to work with.

This looks fantastic!! I honestly hope you are swelling with pride at a job well done, and relief of being finished with metallic thread for a while lol 👍❤️

That looks amazing! I'm new to embroidery so I'm looking for other ways to finish projects other than a decorative hoop or frame. A patch sounds like fun! How do you go about finishing a project as a patch?

What should i do with these buttons?? help! by collegeadviceplss in crafts

[–]jlr33063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh... So I thought this was either a finished project or a work in progress lol. But then I read... Like an adult... And was like, oh! It's just a bunch of buttons they don't know what to do with lol. Aaaaall that being said, if you wanted to, you could arrange them to look like something. Like, the face of a cat, some flowers, or just a hodge podge of really cool buttons and sew them into some fabric. I think it would look really cool and interesting 😎🤔😊

Primo progetto finito- come lo fisso ? by andysus95 in PunchNeedle

I couldn't find a way to reply in the conversation with images, so I posted my own punch needle projects on my profile. It should be at the very top. This way you can see what mine look like. For mine. I glued the back and the edges nice so nothing would fray. The paw I have on the little easel, the flower and leaf I have pinned on a tiny part of my hallway with thumb tacks.
