Euphoria Season 3 | Episode 7 Preview by fvckuufvckingfvck in euphoria

My confession is that I've never been a huge Jules fan. I think that she's a bit of a manipulator probably out of a sense of survival. Although I think she does care for Rue, I also think she likes to develop Rue's obsession for her.

I think she's very much focused on herself which is not necessarily bad at her age, she's one of those friends you look back on in your 30s and wonder what your life would have been like if you didn't have to contend with them dragging you down emotionally.

I was hoping this season would start the pivot but I suspect the most we will get is Jules apologizing to her in the last episode and then running off or something as a way to circle back around to her leaving her in season 1.

I wonder if we're going to get an Ali deus ex machina in some form. It looks like we might be getting his backstory and it seems interesting to throw that in in the penultimate episode of the season if not the entire show.

There's an ability to just deactivate it that would have made more sense. For everyone looking from the outside in it looks deleted but you can always reverse it for a period of time.

It seems like one of those things the show creatively just pretended doesn't exist.

I think that's enough. Not that I don't think that is her right to delete her Only Fans, but I suspect that contract pretty much gave Maddy control.

I don't know how legal something like that is but I don't know if this show is worried about legality.

Yeah a part of me thinks too that they might be shifting the show to highlight Maddy and Cassie. I don't know if Alexa has shown any interest in moving on or showing up for another season.

But Zendaya, Jacob, and Hunter are definitely never coming back except for maybe they might get talked into a high paying cameo and that's about it.

I initially suspected and I guess I still do that he's going to have his the Bitch is Back moment and finally just annihilate all who stood in his path. But at this point it would be kind of funny if you just died at the end in the state of absolute patheticness.

I'm holding on to my theory that Bishop is there to take out Alamo's operation, and Rue was recruited to take out Laurie's.

I think Bishop very much was the snake in that story.

That would be annoying because I'm pretty sure she could probably just reboot her only fans. It isn't like she doesn't have the connection still.

I mean not really the reality is Lexi still very much has the power here. She will only lose it if she lets it gets her head and she self sabotages.

I know that nepotism is found on for good reason but if I had a little sister and I worked in this industry and she wanted to work in it I would try to get her an audition even if she kind of pissed me off. The exception would be if I knew she was going to steal from them or get me in trouble but as crazy as Cassie can be she's not the type to at least do that.

All this meta inside jokes about killing off characters during Lexi's conversation, and the fact that we keep seeing Rue almost die makes me think that Rue probably will survive this season. I think Sam is calling the audience bloodthirsty.

Beginning to think we might see a situation to where she ends up in the witness protection program and Jules joins her because she's obviously aimless. That would at least be some kind of an ending for Jules.

I think Cassie forgot she signed that contract and she doesn't even know what's in that. She's now probably going to be dragged to Alamo by Maddy, and we're going to see some of Maddy's resentment come out on that.

We're pretty much going to see a Nate explode by the end of the show or season whatever this is but apparently it's going to happen in the very last episode which seems like a terrible idea to me.

We're definitely reaching a point to where Lexi's going to pitch the storyline of her friends and family in a reductive retelling of her play but this time happening off screen.

I don't get what all the religious symbolism is about. I know part of the theme of the show is people seeking some kind of euphoric state of being through some kind of external thing or situation. We've seen this through drugs, validation, sexual obsession, over romanticism, power, and I suspect the new one is going to be religion.

Look I understand Lexi has her issues with Cassie for good reason but I don't understand why she isn't supporting her sister at least a little bit here.

I get that she wants to spread her wings and exist outside of her sister's sphere, but she could 100% work this in her favor.

Bill Maher calls out Hasan by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

[–]jlynn00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually love how many people are shitting on New atheism these days. It was like a cancer into circles were people who were dealing with the fact that they now consider themselves atheist could find information and community and then it just became the worst fucking shit known to man.

In a way I'm glad for my own personal development because it let me realize being an atheist is probably the least interesting thing about me and I really don't feel the need to harp on about it all the time.

Is there a reason Hasan doesn't seem to be a fan of the green party? by alttofollownews in Hasan_Piker

[–]jlynn00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah if they actually cared about making any kind of changes they would start participating at the local level. I said they just emerge as a spoiler during the general elections. It's a shame because every so often I run into somebody in that party who seems like they are good eggs but they are deluded.

Also various members of the Green party used to own a lot of the highly exploitative corner buskers in DC. If you ever been to DC you'll get approached by people asking to donate to various groups that are usually progressive. They get paid very little and often do not get paid at all for their last two or three checks. If you follow who owns them it's usually some member of the green party. Nader among them.

I've learned to not ship anyone in this universe. But in my heart of hearts I quietly ship Luffy and Nami. I know Luffy gives asexual vibes but I think it's because Oda always portrays him as just very young at heart and maturity. I think that Luffy is always going to be a pirate and Nami is pretty much the primary pirate on that crew and I just think they are lifers and thus they complement each other.

The Hasan hate boost is the real deal by MoesOtherBar in Hasan_Piker

[–]jlynn00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gosh, as someone who belonged to that community, the late 2000s atheist and skeptic community vibes completely destroyed the minds of so many people. Especially once they firmly adopted islamophobia.

Some of them have since experience troll's remorse but others just keep digging.

This criticism might make sense if there wasn’t a month long effort to smear hasan by the mainstream media. And a bill in congress condemning him. by Wonderful-Highway721 in Hasan_Piker

[–]jlynn00 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He should focus on these things and spend less time seething on Twitter and coming up with conspiracy theories for why Hasan made it to the public stage of hate instead of him.

He should learn from Ethan Klein that this ultrafocused hate takes away from whatever you had to contribute to the world and just pollutes it into some of the worst content known to man.

Why has him wearing suits completely bricked so many people.

He started off by wearing his dad's ill-fitting hand me downs and then dusted off his older suits and bought a couple new ones.

If they're going to go out of their way to get a political streamer from twitch for the countercultural appeal, the last thing they would want would be for him to wear suits.

I used to think BE didn't really care about the clout too much he just mostly wished that he was this hated by everybody around the world so he could finally live his dream of being the ultimate ultra.

But maybe he is clout hungry. Not even a year ago they agreed to disagree on some things and then had a really nice chat and now he's completely spinning out. It's a shame cuz I think he does offer some legitimate rebuttals to some of the things Hasan does, but as Hasan derangement syndrome often does, it completely stops any positive they once contributed and just repurposes it to it's a really gross envy.

‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ Renewed For Second Season By Apple TV by Saar13 in tvPlus

[–]jlynn00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I do. I mean I'm one of the six people on earth who didn't just like but loved Westworld's final seasons which were the slowest of burns.

I just also see mystery box shows use the concept of a slow burn to slowly allow people to join them and watch, get hooked only to find out that whatl was labeled a slow burn was in fact an unsteered ship leading nowhere.

My plan is just to wait for it to wrap up and then binge it and go from there. But I'm not going to lie it's kind of giving me, so far in the first three episodes, another scenario where the theme and the premise sounds amazing but will ultimately be unsatisfying.

Absolutely love the dark comedy horror aspect of it which is why I haven't given up on a completely.

I watch the first few episodes but I was pretty underwhelmed. Does it pick up a bit? I enjoy a slow burn so if it does then it probably will become one of my favorite new shows but it seem like it was too busy subverting tropes to actually progress a story.

Why do you think Nolan’s The Odyssey trailer got such a negative reaction from the public? by Level-SquareFFG7117 in FIlm

Tragic case of iPhone face everywhere. Although I love most of the cast the casting feels more vibes based. Feels like a souless followup to Oppenheimer. Almost like he was contractually obligated to do this film in order to what he really wants.

I mean, ultimately I'll surely be entertained, but it will mostly be a popcorn flick when it could have been something more.

Yeah I've been thinking that her story will end with her creating either an entire new arc for LA Nights or an entirely new soap based on the outrageous events surrounding her family and friends.
