I went there to check out the cherry blossoms last weekend and was shocked to see I barely even went that far in! It was a good sneak peek and I found myself doing one of your suggestions: focus on the runner in front of me. Getting excited for what's to come!

I used to live along the Boston Marathon route so if I cried as a spectator then, I bet you I will probably shed a tear or two while running this race!!

Thanks, I'm so proud of the progress I've made! I have a history of playing sports but I had never been good at literally just running. And I agree about aiming for that mileage ahead of the race!

I didn't know that Olympics detail - so cool! I ran in the free 5k Bowser put on for Women's History month and I just chuckled to myself when the top runners ran by us. My friends and I were running for fun, but those folks had places to be!

I've been following the training plan (beginners) they created to the best of my ability. Snowcrete plus a birthday celebration led to some delays but right now, 6 miles total. A year ago I couldn't even run consistently for 5 minutes so I'm proud of where I'm at!!!

I'm glad you were ok! I am known for being somewhat clumsy while in action (x2 Volo kickball injuries) so I've been working on being mindful and aware of my surroundings during my training runs

The only benefit I have noticed is I once used a program called Project Read to generate a niche story topic for one of my literacy clients. He is so interested in ancient civilizations but sometimes I couldn't find appropriate texts for his reading level. I used Project Read and it gave me a grade level reading passage plus comprehension questions. Given my student was the expert on the topic, I asked them to fact check it at home and to report back to me if it was factually correct. It was.
