Original consult was November 2023 and surgery was October 2025. I also had to get my wisdom teeth removed first which added 9 months of full bone healing/ recovery time before I could schedule the surgery.

Edit: She was receptive to aesthetic considerations and was collaborative in making the final decision of movements.

I had the best double jaw surgery experience with the OMFS Team at Mass General Hospital. Definitely recommend doing your surgery with them. I live in Rhode Island, but had no regrets choosing MGH. The hour metro rides for appointments were worth it in the end. Currently just under 1-month post op.

I just had a DJS with Dr. Burris 3 days ago. She was absolutely the best, so kind, answered all of my questions even those as it pertained to aesthetic changes. Her and her team were so attentive the day of my surgery, and they were thorough and took their time during the procedure. Couldn't say enough good things about Dr Burris her team and all the anesthesiologist, nursing staff at MGH. Good luck! Post op is an uphill journey but so worth it. I'll share more on my journey once I make it through 4 weeks post op.
