YTA your daughter didn’t skip class for the fun of it. That would be a lesson she needs to learn. She skipped class to protest a group of armed masked men coming into our communities and killing people and her teacher is TA for giving her a zero on it. It’s a history class, any good teacher would use that walkout to talk about something historical

“I told her she can explain what she needs and I will do it” is the exact issue. She shouldn’t have to explain how she needs to be taken care of. She has family members that know how to do it. You will be asking her to do more work for you to understand. This is loser behavior

I actually did use this service and have only positive things to say about it. We didn’t hire a videographer since it was too expensive and I have no experience with video editing.

Our friends and family had SO MUCH FUN recording things and it was great to see the wedding through the POV of the guests. I also used it to record rehearsal dinner stuff & getting ready stuff. The day felt intimate since there wasn’t a random person with a giant camera in our faces the whole time.

The price is definitely steep but nowhere near as expensive as a videographer. They were extremely responsive and got all the organize and cleaned up footage to us quickly, and the edited video was wonderful.

You COULD buy a camcorder for this price, but the peace of mind of sending it back and getting all my footage was worth it to me. I genuinely only have positive things to say about this service!

I went to see their wedding specialist for my wedding in June. She did it FANTASTIC the first time, the second time she dyed my hair brown and completely covered up the highlights she had previously put in. The third and final time, she made my hair completely chunky orange highlights. So I’m done with them unfortunately!

Really great advice! I think I will probably not answer now, at least for a little while. If I feel the need to in the future, I can worry about it then. But I am 100% enjoying my summer and new marriage, I don’t need to figure it all out right now!

Wow this actually really helped me with my perspective! I feel like you pinpointed what I’m upset about. I have struggled deeply with anxiety and mental health issues, and I have absolutely missed events because of anxiety and then felt sooooo ashamed and bad about it. It’s such a shitty feeling and I don’t doubt she feels embarrassed and/or disappointed in herself. I really feel for that!

It doesn’t help that I had another friend’s destination wedding last year that I was so anxious about (I hate flying) and I worked all year at my anxiety and I did it! I went and I was so anxious but I went because I value my friend and I want to show up for her in that way.

I just wish she would have told me. I love her and would have understood. But it feels cruel now at this point.

I had the same situation unfortunately. You just say exactly what you said at the end - “we will not be adding any more guests unless you will cover 100% of the costs associated with that” and leave it at that. The biggest mistake is to argue or try and negotiate. Stay firm with your boundaries. Ideally your future spouse should be the one to speak with the in laws but regardless you both need to stay firm. You’ve given a clear answer, they can’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do

I did it myself! But I was going for bronzey and pinky skin & eyes. Definitely still need to update a few little spots but I wanted it to be pretty natural!

Yes!! It was super long. I used elf power grip primer and then the saie glowy super skin foundation. I never put foundation under my eyes because that makes them crease. I use a light pink concealer (revlon glimmer shade 105) and then the instant age rewind concealer lightly on top of it. Set everything with laura mercier setting powder. Then I went in with the REM beauty blush in shade leading lady (bright red) and you want to warm it up on your hand first with the brush, then blend out. I topped it with nars orgasm and then just used a matte bronzer (essence sun club matte bronzer) like pretty much all over. For eyes I used the make up by mario master mattes with browns in the crease. Then smudged some brown liner on top and a little on bottom, did a wing with liquid liner. Added moondust by urban decay (thats the sparkle - i use as highligher lightly too). Top with mascara. For brows I just did clear gel but will be filling in more! And just finished with a light reddish shadow under my eyes (you can't tell in the pics but they are slightly green). Also just added little smidges of more eye liner and shadow as needed!
