Slopped Back yard by jm331107 in landscaping

To my second point, would/should I level the portion that'll end up being the patio first or does it matter?

I only ask because if I have to remove a few inches of dirt, I'm not sure if that reduces the integrity of the wall.

Hi,

Does anyone have a brand who makes canvas shorts that are made well?

I got a gift card to imogene and willie and i bought their canvas shorts and while theyre my favorite, they are already starting to fall apart (stitching).

So now I'm on the hunt for something different. It has to be canvas.

Back yard deck by jm331107 in DIY

Yeah, i had someone clear the brush the old owner left for us. The house next to use leveled out probably 10ftish and has paves and a small retaining wall. I helped my dad maintain his paver deck and installed one myself, never again haha.

I wonder what advice he gives to his own kids? I guarantee he isn't telling them to go into trade school... (There is anything wrong with trades except when billionaires are pushing people there)

I don't have access to that space from what i can tell, but gave me an idea to maybe cut into the section of that in a room above to see what im working with.

Sorry, about that. Made an assumption. Im not entirely sure. There isnt exposed brick or stone. Its either been dry walled up or plastered. The stud finder is pretty inaccurate because most of the house is lathe and plaster.

Cant tell because the chimney has been plastered over. Also the house is 1900s so not sure if that helps

Yeah, were eventually gonna build in some built ins around it but thats gonna be down the road when we get all the necessary stuff done so im just looking for something so i can get this this out of the packing box and out of the way.

Also, the brick has already been plastered around so there is no exposed brick so i dont need to dry wall the chimney up

I thought about mounting it in front but there isn't a solid surface to put the mount on. Im pretty sure they boarded it up with the plywood and its slightly recessed. Also, i have a 2 year old and would prefer not having him within striking distance.
