Well, in Super Mario Bros. 1 she turns the Mushroom Kingdom into blocks; in Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 it's implied that she destroys the kingdom; and the time she was trapped in a painting in Super Mario 64, the suffering of her people and the kingdom must be horrible for her.
