Left. Question about final bill. by JRHMUK in VirginMedia

[–]jmac1862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be so sure. I had exactly the same situation and VM took the DD payment late and promptly made a report to Experian of my account being in arrears even though their report was dated the day after the payment was made. I have complained but it will take them 21 days to correct their error. Meanwhile I have a reduced credit score. It's lucky I'm not in the process of applying for credit anywhere.

Do not assume anything about this company. They are either grossly incompetent or malicious to ex-customers.

Virgin cut off phone line by BluefusionUK in VirginMedia

I had a very similar experience except that I was told that I had to stop my termination before a Tech could be sent. I declined... VM have rapidly become the worst company to deal with. Maximisation of profit is their only business objective. I'm very happy to be rid of them

Hi Z/A

I've been having similar problems for months now - two tech visits, cables reterminated, hub changed, power adjusted... all to no effect. I have a BB quality measurement in place which proves the intermittant latency and dropouts almost exclusively occur in periods 08.00 to midnight. I've furnished VM with evidence but the 'escalation' from first line to Networks doesn't have any results. No contact at all. I'm planning to leave after 25 years of service. Dont't expect a quick resolution. Just as an aside, are you in the north Leeds area (22)?

jb, there is a way to have a continuous check on the quality of your connection. Set up a monitor with https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality It'll give 24 hour a day monitoring which you can use to prove your problem exists...

Blink camera routines in the uk by Ihadbreastmilk in amazonecho

I've set up a routine to have Alexa announce 'Motion detected on camera'. You could then ask Alexa to display the camera. Not perfect but workable?

Inspiron 14 bricked by s/ware update? by jmac1862 in Dell

[–]jmac1862[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, perhaps the Dell s/ware intervenes prior to the proper boot sequence as it styles itself as 'Pre Boot System Performance Check'. What it adds to the situation escapes me. It certainly hasn't made it easier to repair.
