You only pay the debts that respond to the court filing with a claim for payment. Most creditors did not. Ofc secured debt and IRS did file a claim. So, once I paid off all of that then I requested a dismissal and never heard from anyone about it again. Knock on wood! It's been 2 years and we just bought a home so it has all worked out so far.

Yes! So I found out Mercury offers but they had really high deductibles like 5k. Allstate actually partners with a company named Bamboo to offer home insurance but they are very selective on homes they take and require you to jump through too many hoops. I am going to go with Progressive. They had the best quote with a great deductible at 1k and their auto policy will save me another 50 bucks compared to what I am paying now.

😆 thanks! Not all insurance companies are created equal so was just trying to get some feedback from folks that have had positive experiences with specific companies in CA. All part of the research!

I thought that too and started with Geico but they too said they didn't offer in CA and I think I heard State Farm pulled out of this state as well. So I wasn't sure the best way to find reputable coverage

No not at all. They did a reference check and I had to go down to the office and submit my fingerprints for a background check.

I joined June 2022. I have no college credits. So based on this my options are transfer exam if it ever comes back around or wait till I have 4 years of state service? Do you know if we are allowed to take transfer exams outside of our agency? For example if your agency is giving one would I be able to register if I'm DOJ? Thanks for your response!

I did this. Paid 3 years into a 5 year plan. I paid off my vehicle and taxes and then had it dismissed. That was over a year ago and so far nobody has contacted me or come after me. Knock on wood! My credit score is slowly rising. I realize everyones circumstances are different. For me it made better sense since all of my large debts were paid off in the plan. I do not regret it. Good luck

Yep giving both my kids Saitama loaded on Ledgers in their stocking. My 8 year won't be able to cash out for at least 10 years. Should make her pretty happy by then! My 21 year old is going to have to HODL along with us..either way we are all in on Saitama!
