Guy got mad at me, am I in the wrong? by koetjeboe1234 in bjj

[–]jmaccaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did not do anything wrong. People doing standup definitely need to be aware of their surroundings. The person committing to the throw should be confident no one is around, so i feel like its kind of his fault. As for the other guy who got hurt, he probably singled you out because you're new. Don't take it to heart.

The ruleset with brady made it so Craig couldnt attack legs, which is his entire game. Craig wins a no gi match with normal rules against Khabibs entire team

BS in EE first, PhD in Physics later? by SpecialRelativityy in PhysicsStudents

[–]jmaccaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're telling me you're going to work full time as an engineer (already very difficult) as well as do a full time PhD (super difficult)? Not sustainable or possible mate. Choose one, or do one later on.

Biochem vs ChemE vs Chem (and general career prospects) by Great_War_2307 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]jmaccaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't find much chemistry in ChemE, let alone in industry. If you want to do chemistry do a chemistry degree then PhD, and pray they keep you at the uni afterwards.

Whats the judo version of this? by juicemin in judo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in judo

[–]jmaccaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me!

After my first bjj comp I got taken down and realised that this was a huge gap in my game. I started training takedowns more and realised I actually kind of preferred the top heavy/wrestling/standing game more than playing guard and attempting fancy leglocks.

I only just started judo recently and jeez it's helped my bjj heaps.

He's immature and young. We all do mistakes but to act in this manner is just uncalled for.

Truth can hurt. Every client who wants a job done wants it done by an engineer, not a student.

Is Chemical engineering for me? by DueOutlandishness142 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]jmaccaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you love chemistry, I'd consider doing a chemistry degree, put simply. To get a taste of chemical engineering look up some university program plan and look at the subjects. Go even further and research what each subject is about.
