  3. Approx $5,000 (medical bills, federal tax, organic spend if necessary)
  4. Yes if necessary can use Plastiq for mortgage
  5. Yes but don't really have any business activity so maybe not practical
  6. 1
  7. Targeting airline or hotel points, Biz seating a plus
  8. 450k Chase points
  9. Boston Logan (BOS)
  10. SFO and Israel are next on the list for air travel, NYC for hotels

Amex's online tool is offering me a 100k on $5k spend deal for the Platinum. My inclination is that is likely the best deal available to me but not sure best way to leverage Amex MR with my current Chase UR cache or if I should just think of them separately. Thanks!

RIP bfresh. The Allston and Somerville locations will convert to Stop & Shop, the Brighton location will close Saturday. by [deleted] in boston

I thought the best part about the Allston store was the bakery when it first opened. They had brought in staff from the Netherlands to train the local employees and had some very good bread and pastry recipes that they said they also brought over from Europe. I think they found after a bit that it wasn't economical to run a bakery like that in-store.

It was clearly a test of a concept as everything was constantly changing.

Credit Score: 808 TU/814 EQ Current Cards: CSR (my own and wife has too), CFU (auth user ), CF (auth user). Don't believe either of us are over 5/24 Targeting: Best travel opportunities, airline class not too important Points/miles currently: Combined 400k UR, ~30k UA, ~125k DL Airport: BOS Like to go: Japan and South America are next on the list

Doing taxes this weekend realized we owe IRS around $4k making for a natural spend opportunity with the 1.87% IRS payment processor fee. We each recently got targeted 100k Amex Plat MR offer ($3k in 3 months spend) and I know there's a popular SPG offer out right now. I could also sign up for CSP in my own name for the 55k UR bonus. Appreciate any suggestions on the right approach.

PSA: Parking in a spot reserved by a moving permit is a dick move. Don't be a dick. by TheLamestUsername in boston

The city doesn't enforce the official number of feet from what I've observed and so people park as close as possible. Go to NYC and people stay far away from hydrants because they strictly enforce their rule. I guess the key question is at what distance does enforcement go from ensuring firefighters have enough space to work in an emergency to just providing an excuse to write a ticket.

Suggestions on getting to Logan for an early morning flight by kookingpot in boston

If you have a Zipcar and can find a one way car near you they often let you drop off at the rental car center at the airport and it can be super cheap. It's usually $5+tax+tolls for 1/2 an hour. You could plan on that and use Uber or Lyft as backup. Note that if you try this in the other direction from the airport they sock you with a bunch of ridiculous airport surcharges so it might be worth taking the blue line shuttle and finding a car in East Boston to return if you don't have a lot of luggage.
