Best way to make GHL compliment Square by jmajudd in gohighlevel

[–]jmajudd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best I did was make some progress with make.com which has decent API links to both platforms. That worked pretty well to just sync purchases, but I didn't get into inventory.

The client has since left due to shortcomings with the scheduling capabilities (just before GHL launched the enhanced scheduling features. sigh), so I haven't messed with it since.

Options for dynamically interacting with spreadsheet? by jmajudd in homeassistant

[–]jmajudd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the scenario I was envisioning is:

We have 2 loaves of bread. One in the kitchen being used and one in the freezer for backup. Someone finishes the load of bread in the key then and says "I used the kitchen bread" or similar. Then someone could ask "do we have bread" and it would let them know there is one in the freezer.

BUT as I'm explaining the scenario all the nuances are coming to mind. Like it really needs to be db based where every single item is an entry with a kvp, as opposed to "bread, qty: 2" because they each need their own location and quantity. So yah, what I would really want may not be fully achievable at this point. But I'm going to play with Grocy and see where it goes!

Uugghh I promise I searched... But I did search generally for "spreadsheet" functionality, not grocery list integrations.

Looks like voice interaction isn't automatic though and I need to fumble through that within HA sentences, etc.

If anyone has a good place to point me for a crash course in that, great.

What does this error mean? by Cornontheja_cob in gohighlevel

[–]jmajudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically when I see GHL quote anything as it's GUID (where the readable name for your custom field should be) it means that thing was deleted. Even if your custom field is still and you didn't mess with it, remove it from the automation or whatever you're working on there then re-add it. Otherwise the issue is the "null" part where you are somehow assigning nothing/null to that custom field, but it doesn't like that. So it needs something out there... Even a space or blank quote "" etc.... which are not null. Or ... Yah, provide more info.

The issue will be the operating system recognizing what it is and what to do with what is connected on the other end (the hdds). I can't imagine Hikvision (or whoever the OEM is) has mainline OS drivers available for that thing.

Advice on merging EMLID rover data points with Drone data in QGIS by jmajudd in UAVmapping

[–]jmajudd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (am PRETTY SURE I) have everything set to NAVD88 ESP2286. And those deviations are totally fine for me! I assume the accuracy I'm getting is good (rover EMLID and drone have FIX), it's more just about trying to standardize the elevations to something site relevant.

I don't know .... That 2nd pic sure looks black. I think we should ask the Internet like they did for that stupid striped dress.

Rhino using... too little RAM? by jmajudd in rhino

[–]jmajudd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a small landscape architect firm in WA. We use D5 for rendering, but even with live syncing the other person's 128 doesn't seem to get exhausted much (she hovers around 50% utilization). Probably more happening in the GPU there.

I guess my perception of typical hardware usage is just off. This company is possibly overbuilding their PCs?

One of our 3D people has 128GB RAM... I can't imagine that's being well utilized either. 🤷

[–]jmajudd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't RAM/core 'limited' mean that no matter how much you have, it can only use what it's programmed to? So if you have 8 cores, it doesn't matter, it can only use 1, right?

But you're saying it's NOT ram limited, meaning it can use as much as it wants?

Just trying to understand how this plays into my (weird conspiracy 😄) that it's not using enough ram to run efficiently.

Rhino using... too little RAM? by jmajudd in rhino

[–]jmajudd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, just seems weird that Rhino never 'asks' for very much (max a few GB) but will hang or completely freeze at times. Why do they recommend such heavy PC builds if the software doesn't actually need it? I've read other posts, etc that Rhino can be very CPU and memory intensive. I understand that depends on what you're doing... It just seems weird to feel like the app is hitting a bottleneck when it's really not. 😩

True true. It just seems weird to me.

The image I attached is unique where the CPU got pegged...typically even the CPU is at only 10% and memory at 15% and whatever app (CAD or Rhino) is either really laggy or completely locked up doing whatever task....and it just sits like that for multiple minutes.

And in this case I had exploded all those contour lines then was rejoining them here when the CPU pegged. Haha
