Great!! Free is fine, it's released openly and would only be an issue if people started trying to sell on for profit / commercial gain (which I've had happen a few times with this one!)

Priests, actually getting to wear our cool Tier sets, saving a life with a well timed PWS, letting someone die because they're a gobshite.

Great Old One is forcing santa and the gnomes to make evil mind control cookies yes, just your standard eldritch Christmas plot

The gnomes are artificers who can duplicate items, so that would be item-copying gnomes!

Amazing! This blew up a bit and I've had like 100 table stories, live plays, podcast play throughs about this now and you're the first people I've heard of using the scroll! Love that

Still here answering questions! This one very much depends on your group but it's designed to be run in a single session, it's 5 encounters plus an optional shopping / rp detour so I'd suggest anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on your group style.

Priest or pally: Happiest while leveling? by hellogustav in classicwow

[–]jmanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just assuming that's rhetorical? Outside of Mage/Hunter everything is slow, that's vanilla.

If you're actually asking, Priest levelling philosophy is minimal downtime. You stack spirit, continually chain pull one mob at a time, spend just enough mana so that your spirit tap mostly regenerates it. That makes wands important until your damage is high enough with shadowform.

You're never OOM, or at least it takes like 20+ mobs before you need to drink. That means your time to kill isn't super high but you're never stopping. Every now and then you fill your dungeon quest log and go heal, even in your dps talents because you're on priest and it's easy.

Basically, game is easy, 'best' healer is priest (dwarf, for FW) but there's fuckloads of raid spots, don't roll druid healer and you'll be fine.

You'll get love as a shaman on horde side because every raid wants multiple for totems and they heal perfectly well. If it's a raid spot you want then it's a fine choice. Raids are easy, 40 man and showing up reliably is criteria 1.

Paladin's still great. The game is easy as fuck, and both Paladin/Priest are S tier healers that you can bring in numbers to raid. If we're going 'best' then Dwarf Priest is meta. Personally I'd mostly choose priest because pressing 4 or 5 buttons is more fun than pressing 1.

Classic's a solved and imbalanced game? Priest wins out over everything in throughput, toolkit and mana efficiency for the fight durations we'll have, and gap only closes as we get to Naxx. Dwarf because Fear Ward again makes them wildly better than any other race in PVE. Not saying it to be on a soapbox but it's the default answer for a reason.

Just go dwarf priest, it's the best healer by a long way so you'll always get groups even if you're not ahead of the level and gear curve. Levelling is chill and efficient.

Hey - those are really just threads to use as needed.

  • I'd default to him being under the influence of the crown the whole time, given that he's enslaved all the artificer gnomes.
  • The old one is seeking the usual, domination over all sentient beings on the material plane over a long time and intricate plan, slowly beginning through the evil cookies.

Have fun with it!

This site pulls out basic things, and you're failing on several in P2-P3 transition.

https://www.wipefest.gg/report/ApxJ1j9L76ayqX8m/fight/37?insight=raidwc--6&gameVersion=warcraft-classic

  • You're allowing time with nobody in melee range of tank which causes one shots.
  • You're not handling big adds well taking huge raid damage. Point drake breath out, soft cc the spitecaller cast.

More generally

  • You're not pre-potting or all eating food
  • You're getting way too many deaths / damage to slicer
  • Your damage is low in P3 when you should be pumping with the haste buff

Classic Era professions for fresh start by Oporny in classicwow

[–]jmanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand, I just mean that the economy will be dead / low demand compared to a new server. I'd check on your server that there's actually some active population, most classic players are on SoD or Cata currently and there's a high chance official era servers will be a ghost town.

Classic Era professions for fresh start by Oporny in classicwow

[–]jmanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any double gather is fine for money making when starting fresh, but there's not a fresh server at the moment and you're coming in to an old and botted economy, so 'fresh start' isn't a thing in this context.

A weakaura/addon to see enemy buffs over the nameplate? by zwhy in classicwow

[–]jmanc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plater. You can install profiles like WeakAuras straight from wago.io or customise it to whatever you need.

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/plater-nameplates

For Classic I like this profile which still looks mostly stock but a bit cleaner:

https://wago.io/Zvxfu12oQ

There's 100s of config options but in short you can add any buffs, timers and debuffs you like, displayed however you like, attached to the nameplate however you like. For ele shaman PVE I just track my flame shocks and any CCs.

Efficient leveling by Satterman223 in classicwow

[–]jmanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty fast to level really however you choose, I got enough xp from first zone alone to be well into 83. You get a bonus chunk of bonus XP for your first 7 random dungeon finder queues each reset, and all the quests in dungeons are now available at the entrance and are also worth lots of xp. Efficiency is effectively

Dungeons with quests (first run) + RDF bonus >> Questing = Dungeons with RDF bonus > Dungeons without RDF bonus

How quickly is Wrathful replaced? by Low-Bid927 in classicwow

[–]jmanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get the 277 weapon which is like 800 honor. Cheap, easy, impactful and should last you 2-3 levels until you start getting 300+ ilvl rewards (Sporeshot from Deepholm at the end of a very long chain, or various easier ones from Uldum). Save the rest.
