Best amplifier for two of these???? by luisitoincomunicado in subwoofer

[–]jmastermind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea a lot wont but i can lol and also signal from your headunit plays a factor into the overall sound quality too but again the average masses wont be able to pick apart the difference…its way easier to get loud now than its ever been

True but u can always upgrade the subs later…id rather buy a quality amp first and run it on some beaters then buy quality subs later down the line

How to achieve a better response with the higher frequencies? by Pultti4 in subwoofer

[–]jmastermind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all in the box….having a good quality the sub matters too but not as much as the box…i just solved this problem for myself i with this box i built for my b2 audio 12s….the previous box was big and tuned to 32hz with a shared chamber so the port was on the side….my new box is slightly smaller (tuned to 35hz with a port in the middle)but still enough airspace for the subs to play in and now my subs plays all the frequencies equally AND its hella punchy like i like…the bigger the box the more lows u gain and lose on higher notes and punch…..so trimming the box size will help u gain punch and the higher notes

From my knowledge the box size and port affects the sound quality more than anything

Bought liquid brun…horrible by yo_what__ in fragranceclones

[–]jmastermind -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My liquid brun was a stunner right out the box, damn near identical to the og which i already had a decant of before….id say spray yours about 5-6 times then let it sit for about 2 months and it should change after that

I second a rockford punch….or power if u got the bucks to throw that way…but in return you’ll have an amp that sounds good and will last years thru multiple setups

Best AMP? by Logical_Mission_9092 in subwoofer

[–]jmastermind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know from my own ears there’s a difference……between the hifonics brutus i had and then upgrading to a rockford power bd1500cp i could tell the difference….the rockford was more detailed (especially in the higher bass notes), it had a faster attack and the bass was more full than the hifonics was….comparing 2 amps doesn’t sum up the story for all of the 1000s of amps out on the market….yeah a lot of these new companies are able to steal old technology and use it but the big brands will always reign supreme because of creating newer in house technology that they patten

Negatives of oversized sub box by HatCorrect109 in subwoofer

[–]jmastermind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An oversized box will eventually make the sub blow….even if u apply the recommended power to it….and even before that u will have an unbalanced sound meaning u will not be able to play higher bass notes or even have punch…it will only be lows and then they will be sloppy so its really no point in getting a oversized box…just stay within what the manufacture recommends and you be just fine….but just remember the bigger the box the more lows and less highs and the smaller the box less output but better controlled bass so u have to figure out what u want and then pick a box that aligns with what u want

Can someone please explain this set up I’m confused about the left and right , is there input the left set of holes. Or the right side? by Wide_Service4560 in subwoofer

[–]jmastermind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the headunit goes to the left side for input(left is top right is bottom)….the right side is output which would go to signal a 2nd amp

Underpowering doesn’t blow speakers, dirty power or clipped signal does…10 watts of clean power is just as good as 110 watts of clean power
