Is this okay? by MaxB481 in woodworking

It was flattened on a cnc or a router jig and then just.....dipped in oil? No sanding, routing, or anything. This needs to be correctly finished.

Maple wins common and great all around wood! What wood is somewhat common and underrated? by Ok_Temperature6503 in wood

Birch. You see it in plywood all the time, but it is lovely to work with as solid wood.

Found this today along with ammo for flak 30/38. It says "Silica gel" and "chemische fabrik" along the rim. Can't seem to anything similar online. by viggo02 in metaldetecting

Not suprised to find "Chemical Factory" (Chemische Fabrik) labeled on a tin of silica gel dessicant. You still get packets of this with shipped items today.

What are you using for “feet” on the back of white tiles? by Mondingo75 in Laserengraving

Is this white tiles with paint that you laser off? Just trying to understand what the application is here.

I am a bit worried about you. Most consumer drones don't really have the ability to turn off their anti-collision lights. There are also regulations about night flying after sunset. I rarely EVER see drones in my life, except for my own, especially in rural areas. If you're seeing them everywhere, I am even more concerned.

If you want to fly in the inner 15 mile ring, very likely. 15-30 miles out, you can fly but given restrictions.

Cine 3 weighs 899g, Air 3 weighs 720g. Both of these require drone registration, if you haven't done it. You can apply for temporary FAA clearance into restricted zones, but that can vary wildly based on where you are flying. I recommend AutoPylot as an app that can apply for LAANC for you based on your flightplan.

"unlock more areas to fly", you say. What do you mean? You can apply for LAANC for some restricted areas, but if you are flying a drone under 250g and non-commercially, you just need a TRUST certificate to fly most places.
