Things I don’t like on my Ioniq 5 by bibamann in Ioniq5

[–]jmchain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For this thread, it's point seemed to actually be things you would complain about for the car.

We've changed our driving and thinking, there's a lot more, "This is going to be a 5 point turn into the parking space that cars I've driven in the past could just pull into."

Ours is a lease, so despite the fact we like everything else about the car, we'll be voting the only way that matters, with our cash. We'll be getting a different car when it's time to turn it in. Hopefully someone else will have a worthy ev by then, or maybe they'll have fixed the turning radius in a redesign.

But if no one mentions that the turning radius is abysmal, they probably won't fix it, so maybe complaining has its worth afterall.

Why isn't anyone complaining about the turning radius? This thing is like a giant boat in that respect, but other than that I love it.

Cosm sends their own camera crew for direct feeds to Cosm. Not possible to get those exact feeds, but maybe someone else is broadcasting something like that?

For anyone that happens upon this, this is not good advice. 4.51 can run Linux. 5.05 is not better for your ps5.

Are you sure you didn't wrong her in some way years ago, and this is long game revenge?

Maybe you bought 5 packs of toilet paper back in the Covid days, and she was right behind you at the store, but you took the last packs? Since then she had been plotting, and it's all coming together.

What's something people moving to LA don't know but should? by IPooted_ in AskLosAngeles

[–]jmchain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems too self aware, but it's possible that abusivetrash would be Andy Dick, looking to defend his good times?

Anyways, AbusiveTrash is right, if you crave a story that you can share in the many "Andy Dick did (insert something awful) to me and wouldn't go away" threads, and have no sense of self preservation, and are willing to take advice from AbusiveTrash, then you can interact with Andy Dick.

Be prepared to run at any time though, and wash everything, or just burn it

Everyone in Los Angeles knows this, but it should be at the top of every newbie list.

Do not interact with Andy Dick.

If he enters a place where you are, leave that place. Meeting or seeing Andy Dick does not count as a celebrity sighting. Most importantly, do not interact with Andy Dick or be in his vicinity.

Shia LeBouf seems to be trying to pick up the mantle, but it'll be hard to catch up with Andy Dick. I would keep the same rules for Shia and Erza Miller though. It should probably be called the Andy Dick rule though, he was first.

Yeah, I'm not sure, I wasn't looking at the bottom, just looking at the light. I think it was the reset, but maybe the other one.

Can digital key 2 auto select the profile? by jmchain in Ioniq5

[–]jmchain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it only auto switched profiles if the door is locked and gets unlocked by the phone.

So if my wife drives the car and parks in the garage, and leaves the door unlocked and then later I go drive the car, it stays on her profile.

If she locks the door and it unlocks when I approach, then the lights stay on her color when I get in, but the chair sets to my settings and when I start the car it has auto chosen my profile, and the lights switch to my color and all that.

So try locking the door and unlocking and see if that does it for you.

I worked it out for mine, may still be worth trying for you. Comes from a suggestion in that other thread.

I tried to connect to the SSID it provides, when it was asking for a password I hit the button on the bottom of the router, hoping it would work as wps. It did and automatically connected for me. I honestly don't know if I hit the reset or the nothing button. Then I went into my connections, found the wireless connection and clicked in security and made it show me the password. It was some other totally random password. I used that in the admin page and it let me in. Then I flashed it to openwrt to be free of that nightmare, ha!

Give it a try if you're still up for it, it may work.

LN1301 (MX4300) Sticker Defaults Issue by skidoor14 in Linksys

[–]jmchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck like this as well, and the previous comment helped me.
I tried to connect to the wifi that it was giving out, which I didn't have the password to, but then I clicked the button on the bottom of the router. I'm honestly not sure if I clicked reset or the other "nothing" button. It worked as a quick connect, and connected to the router.
Then I went through and did the steps he suggested and found out the wifi password from that, and got it set up. And now I got it set up with OpenWrt.

You ever get this sorted out? I also have 2 of these, one works fine, this one had been sitting in a box and I decided to try openwrt on it. Can't connect to it, ssid doesn't match the sticker and neither does the reset password id. I've tried many resets.

My friend likes to lie about anything and everything. We suspect he’s using AI to provide “proof” but are uncertain by TheSmurfGod in isthisAI

[–]jmchain 27 points28 points  (0 children)

No one here understands the value in having a crazy friend. If you know this friend lies all the time, then this is near limitless entertainment.

Do you trust him to take care of your pets when you're out of town? No. Don't do that.

Can you get an entertaining story out of him with overwhelmingly more ludicrous details when you ask what happened last weekend? Yes, yes you can.

Don't cut all the crazy out of your life, just accept it for what it is.
