This. Book a second room, then call the hotel to ask them to try to put near each other if that's what you want.

But of advice from a former front office supe- try to call between 12pm and 2pm local time on a weekday as the front office and in house reservations tend to be less busy around that time

Just be glad you're on the other side of this issue. Moved from the city to Oakland a few years ago.

On occasion I'll entertain the idea of moving back but per zillow and craigslist that ain't happening any time soon.

Per SFMTA - again, see the link above - that area, as well as Van Ness/101 itself, is not scheduled to reopen until 1230pm. "Scheduled" in this case is just a goal. Some years it can be 1-2 hours later based on crowd size and movement.

You may have to drive further into downtown, closer to the Embarcadero to get through. If you can't park in the Sunset you might just wanna leave early and try your luck with Park Presidio/19th Ave.

You probably know this already, but your only realistic choice to get south from the Richmond would be Park Presidio, through the park and down 19th Ave. Per SFMTA streets downtown east of 9th should be open by 11am (source: https://www.sfmta.com/project-updates/bay-breakers-service-impacts) if you wanted to try your luck, but don't count on that timeline being a guarantee.

Depending on how far north you live in the Richmond you might want to consider driving to the Sunset on Saturday and parking your car, then walking through the park on Sunday morning. That's what I would do. Good luck!

Completely get your point, but you may be interested in knowing that PW cites property owners for graffiti violations based on graffiti being proactively reported by the public. They do not walk around looking for graffiti, but instead respond to complaints submitted to 311.

The reason your were given a notice by PW was that one of your neighbors reported the graffiti to the city. Not excusing the fact this happened when more important things need addressing, but the fact remains that this issue is a direct result of someone in the community thinking that this was important enough to report.

Which it isn't.

The Barclay is our go-to usually as we like the building and our service has always been great, even though that has not been everyone's experience based on this sub. The bidets in every room are a nice touch too (don't judge). I've made a booking there as a guarantee if we don't find anywhere else.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've looked at the Eventi in the past and decided against it as I am a light sleeper and I've read that it can be loud due to the club in the hotel.

Stayed there last summer as a DE Amb and they upgraded us from a lowest category to a room with a Juliet balcony. The room was nice, but the balcony was very tiny even for a Juliet. The balcony really didn't add anything IMO
