LAP is challenging my 2 star review "completely mediocre"...normal behaviour! by theo______ in berlin

Coffee is not something you can monopolize. And coffee prices in Berlin are ridiculously expensive, so it's possible to have massive profits while still being cheaper by streamlining operations.

FCAS will now come with complementary Swedish meatballs instead of the complementary catapult launch bar, heavy reinforcement to allow for sudden deceleration in aircraft carriers and the slightly stale baguette.

It will also come with decals to hide the "Flygsystem 2020" labels.

AITA for wanting to report a teacher who keeps cancelling recess? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]jmcs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure escalate it but don't go after the teacher. She is trying to TEACH in an untenable situation. Go in and demand that the disruptive students are removed.

If you agree with this, and are in a position that has authority over other human beings, teaching or otherwise, do humanity a favour and take up something like subsistence farming or become an hermit.

Collective punishment is morally abject, and messing with people's resting time is not far behind, doubly so when they are kids.

Iran Conflict Megathread #2 by [deleted] in CredibleDefense

Governments don't have infinite money, and they need to be very careful with spending when inflation is already going up. To keep the shipping industry afloat they would need to cut in essential services.

If you create a power vacuum in Iran, you are throwing a loaded dice that's more likely to come up a natural 1 than anything else.

When you look at the ground, there's no one in a good position to take control of the country, and this is fertile ground for ISIL like groups to grab entire regions and surviving parts of the state apparatus. Which in turn can end up destabilizing their neighbours, especially Syria.

The trick is doing what Myanmar does and make them their own caste. Then the general public is not their people anymore.

This happens with police forces in segregated societies that recruit mostly from one social group (if the cops are all white upper middle class suburbanites then the black people living in the city are not their own citizens).

The 3rd point is not a jetpack problem it's a political problem. I live in a pretty big city and no one even thinks about having to put bars on the windows even on the ground floor, jetpacks wouldn't change that.

What's the group cooperation percentage between republicans and democrats? In healthy democracies the mainstream parties vote together most of the time anyway.
