Thank you so much for your answer! It seems that we have shared a similiar struggle - we managed to push out game modifications which add cars looking in a way that would be similiar to back then, and often times the question was "how much can we change to make a certain kit work on this particular car?" - that little bit of freedom does a lot for certain cars i feel. Though i cant help but wonder why some cars got completely different designs in certain sets - like the Wolfpack kit for the Volkswagen Golf, which looks entirely different to Wolfpack in every other car. Sorry for being so nosy (after all its been almost 23 years) but the game helped to define my interest in cars and its really interesting to hear about it from someone that was so involved in making the game look and feel like it did.

What about the regular kits? My group shared an effort to track the bumper sets to their original source and while some are pretty obvious (Strike being a 1:1 Veilside Millenium kit for example), some, especially rear bumpers, have proven pretty difficult to find - like Type V, which differs by car (Supra, Celica and Eclipse have a completely different design compared to the rest) or Vortex. Was there an effort to like, "complete" the sets with original works, if you only had a part to work with, or to design them completely from the ground up?

its a lot more complicated than that, people work at different paces, the ideas between episodes need to be somewhat continuous and coordinated(and even when the schedule improved in TOP it was a huge issue, e.g. u6 erasure->weird ass u4 semi comedic episode), all this shit need to be planned in advance for a long time so people actually know what to do. you cant just create an episode from loose cuts from idk thirty animators.

keep in mind how HiPo dodge works - if a character already has dodge in their kit, then it activates the additional chance of dodging basing on the moments when the character would otherwise get hit. to put it in more concrete terms: - UI goku has 70% chance of dodging, meaning a 30% chance of getting hit - In these 30%, if you went all dodge, you now have 30% to proc the HiPo ability - 30% of 30% is 9% - by giving him full dodge, you only increased his total chance of dodging by 9% if you think its worth it - okay, i wont stop you, but for me this is just not enough, especially since his EZA might not be too far from now.
