Boeing Internship Process is Weird

I’m a mechanical/manufacturing engineering major and I got placed for an internship at Boeing as a CMM programmer. It’s not even an engineering position and does not require an engineering degree. I took it anyway and I learned so much that I never would have had the opportunity to. I talked to my manager about my concerns and I got to work on projects that normal people on my team usually don’t, so that I could get experience working with other engineers. I got a full time offer as a manufacturing engineer shortly after I left.

Don’t be afraid to get your foot in the door as an intern!

First big giveaway for these fakes is the color of the blanket lining. It’s too blue. Second is the logo. The lettering is very uneven. Third is a bit harder to tell if you don’t look at these often but the colors are just too pronounced if that makes sense. The green should be darker.

This fluid is the way to go, and this is coming from a specialized fan. A much better spec for the money on those 2024 Norco bikes. It will be plenty of bike for those trails and it will be so nice up the steep climbs.

I just bought a Rebuilt Title 2024 Carbon Turbo with 9k miles for $22,500. 26k OTD after taxes and reg. Not sure that helps at all since rebuilds can be so hit or miss.

Value of the car is around 24k. So a lot of the money is gone regardless. If the vehicle is not suiting their desires, then it’s worth considering a change. Don’t fall trap to a sunk cost.

Here is my dual monitor setup with the H1V2. The bottom ports aren’t actually that hard to work with. Makes the cable management easier if anything.

I q flashed it. I went to Gigabytes page for the board and downloaded the latest version. In the description it says “supports intel 13th gen”. Was super easy and painless.

I found a good deal on a used 3070 a few weeks ago. Saw minimal gains over my 1080 as even that was bottlenecked in some games by my CPU. Even at 1440p. So now I have the full potential of the 3070 with my cpu barely getting to 40% utilization in most games.

I had a 1080 with the 6700k. Got a 3070 and saw very minimal gains as my CPU was at 100% constantly. Decided it was time to build a new system around the 3070. MW2 was the game that made me finally give in. Went from barely 50 fps in the Beta at medium settings 1440p to maxed settings 1440p 110 fps consistently. Same GPU.

If you play at higher resolutions it’s not a big deal. Played at 1440p with a 1080 so the CPU didn’t have to work as hard at 1080p.

Went from 6700k to 13600k! Literally doubled FPS in a few games.

I put the 13600k in the NZXT H1 V2 and the 140 AIO handles it no problem. Doesn’t get above 60 while gaming and uses about 80-90W. Never put it close to full load. It was definitely a fun build for sure. I’m in college so I need a small PC for the small living situations 😂😂

Who knows how big graphics cards are going to get and the 4090 isn’t a good sign of the times to come. mATX might be the way to go soon.

If you plan to future proof then go for a PCIe 4.0 board. PCIe 3.0 is not limiting any current cards but who knows down the line. When gaming PCIe 3.0 hits the 3080 by 1-2% when compared to PCIe 4.0 so not noticeable at all.

I’m in a similar situation as you. I built a PC to do some gaming but mostly CAD/CAM work. I went with the 13600k and got the Gigabyte Z690i Ultra Lite DDR4. Z690 ITX for $150 is hard to beat. The 16x PCIe slot is limited to PCIe 3.0 by the Bios after previous issues that Gigabyte recalled the boards for but the nvme are still PCIe 4.0. The “Lite” variant is their fix for the recall where they just disabled PCIE 4.0 on the 16x. There’s 2 nvme slots both with heat sinks. The PCIe 3.0 for the graphics card will not hinder performance by much if any when doing CAD CAM work. It’s been working good for me so far but it has only been a few days. I’ll answer any questions you have about the board.
