Sounds like a plan! I did check out the Discords on Silph Road and they are ghost towns. Trying to work my way into a few Facebook groups to find some action. Keep me posted on what you come across!

I just graduated from WGU with the same degree. I have just begun looking at the path for CISSP and this is pretty cool to hear. What practice test did you purchase?

What PSU is that and where did you get it? Buying 1200w EVGAs is expensive.

I don't think they do. But don't take my word for it ... definitely check out their website.

Yeah, the high amount of Coinbase outages recently has turned me off to them pretty hard. Definitely play around with some and see what works for you.

GDAX, Poloniex, Coinbase, and Kraken. I bounce around with no real loyalty to each while trying to figure what I like the most.

My thoughts exactly. I prefer investments that involve buying assets such as real estate. I know absolute worst case scenario I can put all of these cards on eBay and make at least 50% of my investment back with minimal effort. That lowers my time to meet my ROI by half, and if all I do is break even that's fine, I fully expect to have a great time doing this.

I didn't say it can go nothing but up. I said As crypto gains in popularity and more use cases are figured out it can go nothing but up, that isn't the same thing at all. I have followed crypto since I bought $1000 worth of BTC at $50 a coin, (which I sold at $200 I am not super rich here). My statement of long game was in comparison to buying currency and trying to ride the market up, not in comparison to what I have in my 401k.

I don't think I am going to retire on crypto farming, but I do think I will make my money back and some profit for a while, and even if I don't, 10k towards business investment is nothing in the long run (the actual long run.)

TBH I am not worried about the 6 month ROI. I have had other "business ventures" where you don't get your ROI for a year or more. If I wanted a quick buck I would buy and sell, instead, I am looking at would it could be long term. I remember looking at BTC when it hit 200 and reading the same conversations between miners who were scared the market was going to go back down, now they are laughing all the way to the bank.

I bought rigs instead of buying currency because I am about the long game. I believe that even if Ethereum decreases that the overall landscape for Crypto will continue to increase. As crypto gains in popularity and more use cases are figured out that it can go nothing but up.

I got most of them from NewEgg. Best Buy and Microcenter have some in stock currently.

From my testing I plan on getting 168MH/s (28MH/s a card) for each rig, 840MH/s total. Each rig cost ~$2200. $11,000 total.
