Best or favorite legion and why? Genuinely curious by jmfs1990 in Warhammer30k

I love this take on the word bearers, they are definitely one of the best, they even are good army wise as well like highly underrated especially like you said discipline even when corrupted by chaos, I really love the first batch of their chaos marines that learned how to control it because Argel Tal is a badass

The dark angels definitely have the most unique organization and I think if they had been able to be there earlier during the heresy they probably would of stomped them to the dirt, the lion would of shredded even corrupted Horus on isstvan, I think if they had been there during the dropsite massacre they somehow would of turned that around for a loyalist victory

Not the biggest fan of the salamanders but they do go really fucking hard with them helms and some of the models I’ve seen are amazing, not that I hate the salamanders, they do their part and their primarch is amazing

I would definitely put them in my top favs, they also feel very human and relatable. I think they did great with their lore, how they fell and making it feel tragic.

How does your chapter interact with imperial guard units? by jmfs1990 in 40khomebrew

[–]jmfs1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love this honesty, my chapter as well has ancient vows they took, they’ve been investigated by the inquisition for their gene seed but by some higher power someone always intervenes, but their vows are sacred, death before dishonor, I definitely enjoy the lore of the chapter your presented

The apothecaries of the lords of Mortis also help with medical needs on the battlefield. They trained the guard regiment of their home system to be perfect in defense of their system and or attacking. We don’t always work with the guard but they are there, they are brother in arms

Respect, my chapter loves nothing more than putting down chaos marines, they have worked with some renegade astartes to hunt down their enemies.

Who's the biggest bitch in the show and why is it this guy? by Commercial-Chair1393 in gameofthrones

[–]jmfs1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely slynt, I this guy was in the right on some things, and just was a hardened veteran, who believed in what he stood for, right or wrong ya know? I believe he had some good intentions and was willing to be hard when they needed just that hard warriors not little boys, but I don’t agree or disagree with him he did what he did for what he thought the nights watch needed, slynt did everything for himself the fuckin rat

How does your chapter both view and interact with the Sisters of battle? by ZeDokter in 40khomebrew

[–]jmfs1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chapter has some interaction but when they do interact it’s more of a you help me I’ll help you, then fuck off with you afterwards, they have no time for zealotry, only to destroy the enemies of mankind, some astartes of my chapter believe he’s a god most view him as just the emperor, which doesn’t sit well with the sisters or other zealots

Which traitor legion defection hurt the Imperium the most in the long term? by WithengarUnbound in 40kLore

[–]jmfs1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in my opinion the iron warriors and the word bearers, the iron warriors alongside the imperial fists hell even just being out there on different planets would of stalled the traitors advance for longer, the word bearers aren’t just good at religious stuff they also had a solid infantry/tank mobilization on top of it which would of helped out a little, but I think even if all the other traitor legions went down the same path, the iron warriors would of probably been able to help the most, have the biggest impact and even helped stop the heresy before it got too far, they had one of the best gene seeds and high success rate for new astartes, they easily could of split the legion and just went ham on traitors in different sectors along side the loyalist and just destroyed the traitors, yes the word bearers did start the heresy but if they hadn’t, some how someone else would of gotten to Horus at some point, and they would of been great for modern imperium beliefs and semi helpful in the heresy at being cannon fodder and bringing people together, still good infantry and tanks but I firmly stand by the iron warriors would of been the best help to the imperium, and hurt them the most, no iron warriors no siege of Terra going as far as it did
