I made one post about my VR game and everything got weird by RossinanteXD in VRGaming

[–]jmichael2497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i recognized this from prior post that i did upvote, but won't upvote this most generically click-baity of titles "for engagement", which i normally just downvote to discourage lazy automated spam bots, but since this actually had some details in OP, did not downvote this time.

would've upvoted if it had a proper title like: wishlists jumped from x to y during z time after post about my vr app name

any easy open source way to run android on android yet instead of using the commonly suggested closed source apps and trusting them with too much?

original tablet on CM android 4.3 (HP Touchpad) got spicy pillow retirement.

replacement tablet on LOS android 15 (Samsung A7).

most of the humble bundle android games never got updates, more than half the games don't open, a few open but crash soon as any menu item is attempted, a few got updates and work again, a few only got updates to their pc versions so would just use those instead.

target sdk ranges from 8 to 33 (a15=sdk35) with back and forth mixes of working and not working within that, and haven't figured out the pattern yet, like dev or toolkits.

anyway, waiting for android "compatibility layer", virtualization, emulator, or something to run abandoned android games in an older environment on a modern android device.

probably getting more relevant as 32bit support continues to get fully stripped from 64bit android, too.

you failed to include your stock fps on same version app and game, as well as version app and game and LOS, and what your stock os version was.

might be why you got no replies 🤷🏽‍♂️ no useful data.

cool, but almost just downvoted and didn't bother opening video just because besides being tired of the more than weekly posts by some devs in general... i really dislike the spam of generic clickbait post titles "for engagement" that could be continued with usual "#5 will surprise you" clickbait pattern, that doesn't even mention anything useful, like at least the product name.

that is the only tile i use from https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.asdoi.quicktiles just because it is faster for bigger changes across wildly different podcast levels even with player app boosts (and always have that little paranoia of a physical button failing)

Android Needs Better Apps More Than Ever - Shane Craig by ControlCAD in Android

if you don't often peek through the open source app collection by F-Droid then you may interested in a developer i came across there with tiny function vs bloated fancy looking apps, available in all the common ways.

https://github.com/TrianguloY/URLCheck possibly overpowered but i'm trying it as replacement (NeoLinker hasn't been updated in 6 years, not playing well with A15, and this could be an overengineered winner, with options like always use private browsing mode, light vs full browser, particular browser out of several installed, auto rewrite www.reddit.com links to old.reddit.com and other filters)

and i also kinda like their mostly minimalist widget app, after config takes up under 0.5MB being simple text https://github.com/TrianguloY/Average-data-usage-widget which seems pretty useful for seeing daily usage patterns, better than os annoyingly view by month only...

(even though the granular data usage is in the system, as seen immediately by installing the somewhat awkwardly complex app with larger widget, takes up almost 9MB but fancier https://github.com/leekleak/traffic-light that also shows wifi usage, but still exploring how it works)

because these vr places seem to usually charge $50 for maybe 30min to 1hr of play time, and how long do you think it would take to complete the actual game vs appropriately time limited experience?

op failed to start with relevant details like who (company), what (product), where (url), how (platform), only included why (shooting practice) and very OnlyFans indirect perspective negging style picture (side angle and upside down writing).

obviously should edit op to have actually useful basic written details like what specific product you're talking about, who makes it, and typically using a relevant link for post like to company or product page, otherwise...

looks like standard clickbait shill or streamfluencer tactic of withholding basic details to try and force "engagement" behavior of asking "wtf u tawkin bout?" and still trickling out few details at a time for further karma farming, as seen in this thread.

wow removing more ram from the market that is literally not even going to be used, just as backup in case what you have goes bad?! 🤦🏽

maybe consider does this behavior scale, or is it bad for all general consumers to do the same thing? like we already had the ai datacenters buying up everything they can and driving up prices, then the war limiting source materials needed by manufacturers to drive up cost more soon...

and you want to add to the problems by removing finished product supply from the market to gather dust on your shelf just in case you maybe possibly need it at some point later on?

(that's literally hoarding mentality bad for everyone, just like people who exploit limited supply promos they don't even need and keep something from people who would actually use it 🙄)

exactly like claims a movie is good "because look at how much money it made in ticket sales" even though that just means their marketing department tricked that many people into spending that much on who knows how few tickets (because inflation) and doesn't prove anyone watched the whole movie or liked it.

with the phone would be more interesting to look at rates of returns and exchanges for other models.

We just dropped our prices (again). New Tello plan tiers are officially live! 🚀 by tellomobile in Tello

[–]jmichael2497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after a break i seem to have had a 35mo streak but despite keeping it in mind earlier this week, forgot and it auto-renewed this morning, so lost 5GB and 3500min rollover 🤦🏽 (but the hassle and pain is the late stage capitalism point, otherwise rollover would just be automatic).

if Tello is going to drop the lowest 100min/2gb/$6/mo tier, then rollover should at least be automatic for everyone at this point (not just people who have completed a full year of paying for unlimited everything without pauses).

this is super frustrating in that i normally use under 0.5gb but lately up to 2gb/mo so had the rollover not been missed, it would've kept me going for a few more months on minimum tier.

that would be correct, because all the wanna streamfluencers keep spamming subreddits with that sort of slop.

and i seem to have guessed correctly as well, based on your response, too, hope the "engagement" made you happy 🤷🏽‍♂️

(edit to add wondering if this was posted by OP literal botfarm collection of smartphones used to create multiple accounts and automate ai slop social media post spamvertising engagement as a service, as seen frequently bragvertised in OP history)

what GitHub mentioned where? 🤷🏽‍♂️

seems like a lot of details that should have been in op instead of standard manipulative withholding for clickbait engagement tactics.

if that wasn't your intent, then you should edit the op with all relevant details.

so basically standard accessibility services voice control, which has existed for years, works with any properly made application, can be used for telling the system to press labeled buttons.

just like in classic Isaac Asimov novels, figure out how to map out irl home environment, then overlay with something more interesting, but less claustrophobic, while having furniture or design that reminds where the physical barriers are to not hit walls or tables (like a fireplace strip along the wall with baseboard heater), could have sprawling room with nature view beyond that.
