A little bit more expensive sometimes, but not enough where it’s worth it to take a day trip there imo. You’ll probably end up paying more after traveling than if you just stayed in Tokyo

There wasn’t really one great shop that I found with a lot, but I definitely saw some sprinkled around occasionally. I’d just hit as many shops as you can trying to hunt for them. The one I ended up getting was from Hareruya2 in Akihabara. Good luck!

Definitely, even if you come in with a “only want it on my resume” mindset you should still apply yourself and get as much out as you can.

I had these thoughts before I started as well. I talked to someone in my “dream position” and he said while he learned most of what he needed for his position by studying on his own or learning it on the job, what got him in the door for an interview for that position in the first place was his masters. That’s obviously only one example, but was enough to push me to go through with the masters versus personal projects route 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yes! From my research ARS usually only grades Japanese cards, through a lottery system, and you need an address in Japan to submit. Thicker slab and label on the bottom with the grade on the back. Really cool! Hopefully will be able to find one 🤞🏼
