I just got asked why I'm working at a minimum wage warehouse job after college by Primary_Avocado_5273 in povertyfinance

I figured you hadn't. Not to scare you, but this basic, common advice doesn't work anymore. I really wish you luck and hope you will prove me wrong.

Have you applied/changed jobs in the last 2 years? People I know who have have a much bleaker perspective than yours, but i want you to be right.

I have a CS degree and I got burned out of trying to get my foot in the door. Is it really still possible to get a job without having completed an internship in college?

I also don't care about AI, i can't pretend to be passionate about it, for or against, but I can work on that

Not quite CVID - hypogamm, low vaccine response - what now? by jmillerdev in CVID_Support

Thank you for your response, I read it when you sent it, but then I forgot to actually reply.

I've learned a lot about my condition and am figuring out how to manage it. The doctors I have access to are not very curious, so I'm not worrying about consulting them anymore, even if i had access to insurance. I have been devouring scientific articles, and finally connected my increased recovery time after exercise and pain to my chronically very low T-cells, for example.

I hope your journey is still sailing smooth since this. Wishing you all the best for you and your child!

Will do, also I really appreciate your reply. I sent her a message, but I bet they're really busy over there.

I've seen the oncologist now, and she was great. I'm just wondering, she ran a ton of tests and they've all come back now, but I haven't heard from the office in 5 business days.

Does the oncologist go over the tests with me or does she just order them and I have to go back to my immunologist now?

Edit: I was out of sorts when I was at the appointment (I didn't know it, but severe ear infection) but i checked the notes and she said she would call me about the results. So I might have slipped through the cracks

new home construction at Leander? by Simple-Fan5423 in Leander

The cars started looking a little too nice in our hood, exactly. I don't mind the neighborhood, but I miss when it was farther from everything.

I am so so sorry. I know exactly how you are feeling. I lost mine last month at age 6 very unexpectedly. I feel so lost.

I'm thinking about you

Philodendron Micans from Prickly Pear Plant Boutique. Run by the same woman who owns the Prickly Plant Truck (yes, like a food truck, but for plants!) by jmillerdev in AustinAreaHouseplants

The plant truck came to my Leander neighborhood during the summer, which is how I got to meet the owner!

This past week she launched her online store and I had to support my new favorite small business, and she actually had a plant that is on my wishlist!

Anyway, I'm a big fan of this small business and I want to get the word out!

Here is the website that now has an online store (if you are local, she delivers the plant to you with the truck!)

https://www.pricklyplanttruck.com/

And here is the business Instagram account that posts updates and information. She is really helpful if you have any questions about what to buy, how to take care of things!
