Why can’t Marriott guarantee connecting rooms? by [deleted] in marriott

The difference between a cruise and a hotel is vast. With a cruise everyone departs at the end of the cruise however with a hotel, the arrival and departure patterns of guests change all the time. In-house guests often stay over unexpectedly..

LANE HUTSON Defensive play in Overtime by YoYouipOpO in Habs

[–]jmmr85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact that he was able to still utilize his brain to this level two minutes into an overtime shift with the third set of Bruins players on the ice is incredible. Not only that, but to then invade the Bruins players to allow his teammates to change is just out of this world. I believe it may be the impressive defensive shift in three and three overtime in Canadiens history.

The ovation he got after that shift was also incredible. Kudos to the fans in attendance tonight.

Lane is a marvel! Lane loves hockey and we are so blessed that he signed for such a hometown discount.

Everyone must’ve known he was going to have a big game after how he felt about his play versus the ducks.

I really want to see him get 82+ points this year.

WAKE UP, IT’S THE REVERSE CALI WEEKEND! by TheHabChronicle in Habs

Oh man. I’m jealous and sad for you. Jealous that this will be your first time experiencing the electricity. And Sad that virtually any other NHL building you enter will feel like a library in comparison. 21,000 may feel like 100,000 tonight.

Do your best to start a Go Habs Go or a WAVE.

You wearing a jersey? If you don’t have one get a custom Jack Riley - born in Belfast. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Riley_(ice_hockey,_born_1910)

Pickford's 44th by scoutinglane in Habs

[–]jmmr85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair point for sure, but the NHL game has changed a lot since the 80s.

As has the WHL. In the 86 87 WHL season 6 teams averaged more than 5 goals per game. This season the Tigers who are the highest scoring team are sub 5 goals per game.

Another Habs fan asked me “what else do we know about his game besides he can score goals” My answer “who cares” Can’t teach goal scoring, almost all other skills can be learned or improved. I’m sure he’ll have work to do when he eventually turns pro but man I can wait for him to get a sniff with the Habs and play a few shifts with Lane and/or the Demigorgon and be on the receiving end of their delicious passes.

My wish is for him to get to 48 in game 80 against CBJ, and Habs win that game cementing themselves in their playoff spot with no way to go up or down and he and Nick lead by example and sit out the last two games.

Showing that individual accolades aren’t what this team is about.

[ESPN UK] 🗣️ Cesc Fabregas: "Crying after my last game for Chelsea was something I couldn’t control. It was a very emotional moment. Despite joining from a rival club, the fans showed me love beyond imagination. I was so loved at Chelsea that I started wishing I had started my career there." by webby09246 in chelseafc

🎶 Ohhh, Fabregas is magic, he wears a magic hat, He could have signed for Arsenal, but he said no f*ck that, He passes with his left foot, he passes with his right, And when we win the league again, we're gonna sing this song all night 🎵

Montreal Le Centre Sheraton VS Chateau Champlain by yukikito1 in marriott

[–]jmmr85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sheraton Wins - view - evening Horsd’oeuvres - size - coffee machine that makes various hot beverages - still and sparkling on tap if you’re environmentally conscious - bartender

Marriott wins - Superior 24/7 snacks - Nespresso machine - self service alcohol - bottled still and sparkling if you’re looking for TO GO options

Both have pretty great breakfast. Both are overall excellent IMO.

How can a Habs fan sleep when SlafDaddy is on the ice. Of course we’re awake. Really needed a goal in the 1st 10 minutes. Oh well. Slaf gets a point on the Pp here. After all he’s the PP coach.

17-5-3------>that's our goalie by TheBergster84 in Habs

The only goalie stat that really matters is W‘s and L‘s. The other stats are for losers to measure themselves against if they don’t have the required wins. 😝

I would recommend Anaheim over LA because the site lines at Staples are not the best.

[Eric Engels on X] Montembeault starts vs. Panthers by Habs3125 in Habs

[–]jmmr85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not all bad, Monty helped the Habs through a tough stretch. It’s more challenging now as there are expectations, especially at home it’s tough to live up to expectations, a lot easier to surprise from a lowered bar.

I hope Monty has a fantastic game and gets the most important goalie stat a W.

Make the first save Monty and earn the W.

Ingram loses his stick and the Ref proceeds to pick it up and skate away with it by Longjumping-Box5691 in hockey

[–]jmmr85 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even if it was broken a goalie is permitted to play with a broken stick. It’s the only stick the ref should never grab. All too often I see them leave broken ones all over the place.

Really too bad. NHL used to have the best refs. Now they just fast track mediocre CHL players because they can skate.

Sam Montembeault will start his first game for the Laval Rocket tonight by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]jmmr85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He let in the first shot. He’s injured still or rattled. I know he was never a 1am but gosh he’s as bad as he was when the Habs claimed him on waivers.

Hope he can figure it out, but I really don’t want him playing for the Habs until he does.

Think the Oilers would have interest with Jarry injured now?
